Historia
It is a tale of ghosts, of madness, of revenge - of old alliances giving way to new intrigues. Denmark is changing, shaking off its medieval past. War with Norway is on the horizon. And Hamlet - son of the old king, nephew of the new - becomes increasingly entangled in a web of deception - and murder. Beautifully performed by actor Richard Armitage ("Thorin Oakenshield" in the Hobbit films), Hamlet, Prince of Denmark takes Shakespeare’s original into unexpected realms, reinventing a story we thought we knew.

Hamlet In Depth
Revisado: 08-09-18
This author should go through all of Shakespeare’s plays and reinvent them. This rendition of Hamlet brings more depth to the pain, the insanity, the reality, the truth and the humanity of the story. The life brought to the lesser characters only adds to the complexity and depth of the scenes as they unfold.

Such an engaging listen. I definitely learned a little bit. For some it might be a repeat listen, but it’s absolutely worth it.

A good narration...

Doesn't put me to sleep in the first five minutes. The voice, the tone... Others may like it, but I personally found it annoying. Seemingly with a chronic parenthetical question mark...

Historia
For Captain Charles Hunter, gold in Spanish hands is gold for the taking, and the law of the land rests with those ruthless enough to make it. Word in port is that the galleon El Trinidad, fresh from New Spain, is awaiting repairs in a nearby harbor. Heavily fortified, the impregnable harbor is guarded by the bloodthirsty Cazalla, a favorite commander of the Spanish king himself. With backing from a powerful ally, Hunter assembles a crew of ruffians to infiltrate the enemy outpost and commandeer El Trinidad, along with its fortune in Spanish gold.

Quite entertaining
Revisado: 01-01-15
Listens to this with my significant other and we both were extremely pleased. The story line really grabs you, much of that has to do with how descriptive the author is. The narrator was great and never once were we bored or becoming distracted; the characters were distinguished. Good on a road trip.
