Fantastic!
Revisado: 03-12-24
As a gay man, fresh in recovery from crystal meth, five months strong so far, this book was not only very insightful and educational, but also very entertaining and helped me understand meth’s effects on my body, mind, brain, and my spirit as a hole. Thank you so much! I loved it!

Historia
The true story of what took place in Donald Trump’s White House during a disastrous 2020 has never before been told in full. What was really going on around the president, as the government failed to contain the coronavirus and over half a million Americans perished? Who was influencing Trump after he refused to concede an election he had clearly lost and spread lies about election fraud? To answer these questions, Phil Rucker and Carol Leonnig reveal a dysfunctional and bumbling presidency’s inner workings in unprecedented, stunning detail.

I couldn’t put the phone down
Revisado: 07-27-21
I started this book a few days ago and just completed it tonight. The best words I can use to describe it are: shocking, riveting, terrifying, sobering, and galvanizing. Most Americans won’t truly know just how far our Democracy was being pushed to a breaking point… to a point of no return. But our Democratic institutions held firm and outlasted a narcissistic, madman, conspiracist desperate to retain the powers entrusted to the Commander in Chief of the strongest military on the planet. That should give all of us joy… but it should also serve as a WARNING.
The fight to protect and defend our democracy is far from over.
Pulitzer Prize-winning authors of the book Carol Leonnig, & Philip Rucker did a fabulous job at piecing together recreations of the whirlwind chaos that surrounded the Trump Administration’s FINAL year in power.
The meticulous investigative journalism that was used by Leonnig, and Rucker really place us, the readers, into the role of “flies on the wall” as we enter into one chaotic Oval Office scene to another chaotic Oval Office scene, with the turbulent Trump at the helm.
At the end of the book I felt very much relieved that our country was able to withstand the numerous attacks on our democratic institutions, yet it also felt very sobering and numbing to realize that the attacks on our democratic institutions may have only just begun and so it is up to us to become energized and mobilize to safeguard and defend our Constitution from the growing authoritarian threat currently facing our nation. How will we react to future attacks by this growing threat? How will we triumph over it?
