I love that the characters are clearly individuals, and not just because of the multiple narrators - who do an excellent job, but the way. The story is interesting, the FMC isn't silly, the spice is reeeally spicy. All in all I had a great time with this one. I'm ordering the next in the series and looking forward to it!

Great listen, OH the hotness! 🔥 🔥🔥

I really enjoyed the listen. I did stop and start a lot in the beginning, because Joe Arden's performance is seriously intense and took a bit of getting used to. Then I embraced the character as performed and I was off and running.

The kink is pretty dark, some stalking and stuff, so check your triggers at the door...

Smexy-sweet fantasy

I love me some demons, and there's all sorts here. One of the best reverse harem stories too, and although I love a little BDSM there's none of that here, just lots of demon love. More hot, less spice, if you know what I mean.

It's a simple story, nothing complex, but there's enough going on to keep it interesting. Lia Holland has a warm, pleasant voice and she does a great job of differentiating between character voices,

All in all I enjoyed it very much.

The narration irritated me in the second book.

The intonation of the male voice is stilted, emphasis all wrong; the female voice set at a pitch too childish for the mature material. Didn't finish that one. I liked the other two just fine.

DNF - made it halfway, couldn't take anymore

The story had so much potential, but it's ruined by the FMC. I wanted to boot her out of the story and put in someone even just a little more sympathetic. The whining and the tantrums totally turned me off. If I'm six hours in, I should have found something, anything, to like about her, but it just wasn't there. Her behavior made the MMC just look stupid, cow-eyed and mooning over how to make her happy.

I love the author, but nobody's perfect, and this was a dud.

Edge of my seat!!!

I'm not a fan of exclamation points, but this deserves all three. it's rare I find a book that gets me pacing around the room hollering, welling up, cheering - I had so much fun!
What a great story.

Side note: The Dare is short but important to read first, it's a good introduction to the characters and setting and the flavor of kink that's coming.

The narrators seem invested in the characters and give a heartfelt and exciting performance as well. I'm so glad I spent the credits on the whole series,

Troy Duran is the only saving grace.

A nice, mind-candy romance, beautiful people, great sex, blah blah blah.

Then, he calls her a whore.

Not dirty talk, not 'you're my little...' sexy talk.

Hypocritical, misogynistic, slut-shaming, intended to hurt and to humiliate.

It's never addressed. It just sits there, like bird sh*t on a birthday cake.

Stick a fork in me, Cassandra, I'm done.

Just wonderful.

I love JTG more with every book she writes. This one took me on a funny. heartfelt, sweet, steamy romantic journey, with some danger to make things suspenseful and a totally unsuspected heartbreaking twist at the end. I actually cried.

F and MMC's both dialogue and interactions honest and true to character and pleasingly performed by Troy Duran, Veronica Pace and Marnye Young (Not the first to say this, but I could listen to Troy Duran read the phone book all day long).

Well worth the credit, I think this is my favorite so far by this author. I'll be listening to this story again, after I let some time go by so it's fresh again.

DNF - and that almost never happens.

Okay. Here's the thing. Actually, more than one thing:

1. Copy editing. There really should have been some. Grammar is important; if you don't know how to use a word, don't use it. It's distracting and brings the story down.

2. I found it problematic that I couldn't develop any connection to the FMC. She just didn't make sense. It was like living in my head without my ADD meds. Incohesive thoughts, irrational reactions, and on top of that she's hypocritical, contradictory, and just a general pain in the ass. Don't ask 15 questions about why we have to go somewhere, get in the f'ing car already. Look, the building's collapsing, we better get outside - But where are we going? Why do we need to go there? Why can't we just stay here? Who's going to be there? I don't understand, can you explain it me again?

On the positive side:

1. I enjoyed the MMC a lot. I'm partial to the over-the-top damaged soul with major control issues and a liking for kinky sex. Hot hot hot kinky sex. Yum.

2. I liked the story. There's international intrigue, fights, chases, rescues, escapes, and romance, which is what I'm here for.

3. I enjoyed the performance a lot. If the story was better written I'd have enjoyed it more, but props to the narrators for powering through.

To sum up: MMC hot, FMC annoying, overall experience just ok.
