Modern Woman Syndrome, Just my opinion

This is a great author. I’ve enjoyed other work by her before and have another queued up for a next listen. That said, I dislike themes like this (I’ll call it Modern Woman Syndrome). I am a woman in modern times but not a modern woman, if that makes sense. I hope I do not think and pursue life like the main character. She is multi faceted and the author did a wonderful job showing the many sides of her and all the characters in the book. But I disagree that the main character was anything more than a selfish person who left a wake of misery for most of her journey. Lots of damage to lots of people. In my worldview (Traditional Christian) she could have pursued her journey differently and ended up in a much more valuable place. I don’t want to give away the storyline so pardon my vagueness, if you please. Now…all that said, the fact that I’m responding and reacting deeply to a work of fiction should point to the talents of this author and narrator. So while I won’t re-read this one, I look forward to more from this author.

A slightly different twist on time travel

I enjoyed the story. And the narration is great. You’ll definitely go up and down with rooting for or cringing at or shaking your head about the main character. He’s well written so you go where (and when) he goes. I’ll look for more by this author and this narrator. Well done.

Even if you don’t like zombies

Very enjoyable! Even if the zombie genre isn’t your favorite, the writing is so good. You’ll fall in love with the characters and time will fly as you listen to a great narrator. Give it a try. I’m getting the next in the series now.
