Rice is at her best
Revisado: 04-23-12
I have always admired Ms. Rice and having read her first book this one was the "frosting on the cake".

Historia
In 1665, a young man from Martha's Vineyard became the first Native American to graduate from Harvard College. Upon this slender factual scaffold, Brooks has created a luminous tale of love and faith, magic and adventure. The narrator of Caleb's Crossing is Bethia Mayfield, growing up in the tiny settlement of Great Harbor amid a small band of pioneers and Puritans. Restless and curious, she yearns after an education that is closed to her by her sex....

Having read Mayflower and enjoyed some years ago, this book was like a continuation of the story. I could hardly stop listening!

Historia
Locked behind bars for three years, Shadow did his time, quietly waiting for the day when he could return to Eagle Point, Indiana. But just days before his release, Laura and Shadow's best friend are killed in an accident. I stopped reading after Chapter 2
Revisado: 04-23-12
Explicit sexual acts as described in this book do not appeal to me. I cannot understand why a talented writer feels the need to do so. If Audible would rate books as the movie industry then perhaps I would not waste my money!
