Historia
Beautiful as she is deadly, Liriel Baenre flits throught the shadows of Menzoberranzan, city of the dark elves. Amid treachery and murder that are the drow's daily fare, she feels something calling to her...something beyond this dusky world far removed from the sun. Yet as she ventures toward the surface and the lands of light, enemies pursue her unceasingly.

I love Eilistraee. Dara? Not so much.
Revisado: 02-16-24
I was excited to pick up on some lore for Drow, and especially the goddess Eilistraee.
However, the narrator's inability to pronounce common English words was grating. Add to that the fact that she sounds like a preschool teacher with a bubble of false enthusiasm made the tale unlistenable. The book was returned on this basis.
In regards to the story - Cunnigham writes fantasy pulp fiction. She's good at it and her stories tend towards the fun and colorful. I will be picking this up to read via print. I trust Cunningham to entertain.

Computer Generated Narrator?
Revisado: 12-23-23
The story did not explain the meaning for Boaz to take Ruth under his wings. In which part did she wash his feet?
Not worth the credit I spent.
Edited to add:
1) This title is nothing more than a narrative retelling of the relevant Bible verses.
2) This title definitely sounds like a Chatbot based on inappropriate pauses and word-sounds.
3) If you are looking for commentary or context please look elsewhere.
The book was returned, and I hope our experience will help other listeners from falling for this trap.

This best seller tells of the young Dutch factory worker's incredible efforts to transport Bibles across closed borders - and the miraculous ways in which God provided for him every step of the way. Brother Andrew's story remains as inspiring today as it was 35 years ago, and with this new release, it will motivate a whole new generation to risk everything to follow God's call.
