Historia
As senior counsel to the 9/11 Commission, John Farmer led the team charged with reconstructing the tragedies of 9/11 and assisted in writing The 9/11 Commission Report. But many of the relevant records remained classified when the report was written, and the "ground truth" of the day was further obscured by the fundamentally false version of events that the government presented to Congress, the commission, and the media.

A Nobly Boring Listen
Revisado: 10-15-24
The momentum early got me to chapter 9 and it just more boring with each minute so much so that what was being emphasized wasn’t engaging.
To many boring conversation dialogues that didn’t drive any point other than whatever the author’s point was deep into the ground.

Excellent Comprehensive Presentation of the Idaho 4 Stabbings in Moscow, Idaho
Revisado: 07-19-24
Howard Blum is an amazing writer with an excellent ability to story tell a d provide context and historical reference.
He introduces us not only into the mind of the suspect but into the culture of the town, dynamics of the
Moscow, Idaho and Pullman, Washington two neighboring rival college towns along the state rural borders.
As an ebook, this could be the best I have ever listened to. The speaker is very reminiscent of classic American Actor Elliott Gould. All parts of the book are easy to listen to and you can pretty much skip between chapters and still be engaged to the writing.

Historia
The world's worst air disaster happened more than 40 years ago on a remote Atlantic Ocean island, when two fully loaded 747 passenger jets collided after a horrendous series of human errors. One of the jets, KLM Flight 4805, was traveling more than 150 miles an hour and was within seconds of lifting off when it crashed into Pan Am Flight 1736 taxiing in its path. The loss of lives was staggering - 583 dead. The crash happened after a lengthy series of major and minor human errors. In the intervening years, has aviation advanced to the point that such a disaster can't happen again?

Well laid out
Revisado: 03-19-24
This book was hard to listen to initially because there were too many people to track and get to know thru the first listen. But as you get to the crash and learn of the survivors’ methods and challenges that allowed them to spare their lives, then it was easy to go back to those passages.
Lots of interesting case study facts about survival and comparisons with similar accidents provided useful context. Worth listening to if you like case studies on airlines disasters and want to learn about keys to having a chance to survive thru the stories of those who made it.
