The prose is beautiful!!
Revisado: 04-10-24
This book is so beautifully written; like poetry. I too lost my husband, the love of my life, my heart on 8/19/2023 so this book was both gut-wrenching and healing. This book will stay with me forever. Thank you Amy for sharing your heart, soul and tears as balm to others’ wounds.

Historia
In Eat to Love, nutritionist Jenna Hollenstein leads a spiritual revolution against pervasive attitudes towards food and dieting, and demonstrates how to free your mind from the fear, frustration, and shame often associated with eating. Through a series of revelatory exercises, along with simple instructions for time-proven mindfulness and meditation techniques, you'll learn to identify prejudices around eating and reset your relationship with food. Eat to Love is not a diet book, not a "clean eating" manual, and not a guide to "being your best self."

Political views
Revisado: 10-25-20
Although this book had some good information it was ruined by her inserting her very leftist policewoman views. Page 17 she talks about how Hillary should have won the election because she wa sure only qualified candidate, I would date Kena to go toe to toe with President Trump, she would never survive.Hilliary is the worst role model for women PERIOD but I digress, she also spends a fair amount of time on patriarchy and tos role in fat culture .... I wish she had stuck to the content and kept her personal political views out of this book.... it totally ruined it for me

Historia
The Christmas season offers little cheer for Eileen Dunlop, an unassuming yet disturbed young woman trapped between her role as her alcoholic father's caretaker in a home whose squalor is the talk of the neighborhood and a day job as a secretary at the boys' prison, filled with its own quotidian horrors. Consumed by resentment and self-loathing, Eileen tempers her dreary days with perverse fantasies and dreams of escaping to the big city.

Historia
The enchanted place is an ancient stone prison, viewed through the eyes of a death row inmate who finds escape in his books and in re-imagining life around him, weaving a fantastical story of the people he observes and the world he inhabits. Fearful and reclusive, he senses what others cannot. Though bars confine him every minute of every day, he marries visions of golden horses running beneath the prison, heat flowing like molten metal from their backs with the devastating violence of prison life.
