This series improves as it goes on. There was more magic in this story, which is what I expected of the series. I love a good mystery and this story had a few surprises in store.

Bailey is a witch who was adopted by a non-magic family at birth. She is treated pretty badly by her boss, and allows it. This story is less about the supernatural and being a witch and more about a murder mystery, I am not complaining, I like the mystery aspect but expected more magice. SInce this is a series and Bailey just learns about magic in this book, I am certain there is more in future books.

I didn't have strong feelings about this book either way. It is a short listen, and interesting but the main character is a bit,( I can't think of a good word - weak, maybe?) "less than" for my taste.

I received all of the books in this series in exchange for an honest review so I will be listening to the whole series.

This third and final book in the series was my favorite. I enjoyed the series, but didn't love it. I feel mean typing that. There is nothing wrong with it, it just isn't my thing. It is entertaining and worth a listen though!

Quirky and fun story, but if you are looking for anything even remotely believable, this is not the series for you. I still think she caved too easily on the whole issue. The series is fun and I will see it through to the end!

An interesting story of a woman working toward her ultimate dream of being a lyricist. I like that while not wildly successful, she hasn't given up. I am all about the mysteries and thrillers and less about romance. This had a nice balance of (not really a mystery) drama and romance. I tend to fast forward past any parts that don't interest me. I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the next in the series

In the final (I think) installment of this series, the crime is investigated and solved by an actual police officer. A refreshing change from most cozy mysteries! The Chubby Chicks friends are back along with a series-long nemesis who is murdered early on. Once again, you are not sorry the victim was murdered at all. Better the jerk than someone sympathetic!

And enjoyable cozy well narrated by David Dietz

So far in this series, this is the only book where the narrator did not really fit the main character. Rebecca Roberts did a wonderful job, but the main character is supposed to be in her 60's and she just sounded too young. Honestly I prefer the character sounding "too young" to some of the other series I have listened to where they make a 70 year old sounds old and creaky. It is a balance!

I can't say I was happy with how the loose ends were tied up on this one, but I did enjoy the mystery and look forward to the next

The second in a series that is more accurately called the Chubby Chicks Mystery Series, this is anther enjoyable cozy mystery. I like these short books, you can comfortably listen in one day.

The Cubby Chicks book club is a group of friends who, near as I can tell, don't read books but hang out, have friends, and have each other's back. All the main characters are back, but the mystery focuses on a different person in the group, I kind of like that idea.

I usually like it when series are narrated by the same person, but since the protagonist changed, I can see why they changed the narrator. Karen White did a nice job. I look forward to the next in the series

In this cozy mystery, a woman is murdered in her home. THinking it a suicide, the police declined to investigate. The main character's father had recently been murdered and she was unwilling to accept suicide as an option.

I thought this was a well-done mystery, packed with loads of entertainment in under 5 hours.

Ms. Rustin did a great job of narrating.

I look forward to the next installment!

This series takes some leaps that are difficult for me to accept, but if you accept all the things that make you say hmmmm.... it is an enjoyable book. This is not my favorite of Rose Pressey's series, and I think I will forgo the rest of this series on audio, but I will likely still read it.

Mary Hidebrandt does a great job narrating the series. I like when a narrator pulls you into a series and makes you forget you are listening to a book. She does that. I look foward to more books narrated by her
