Historia
Heralded as an instant classic of fantasy literature, Maguire has written a wonderfully imaginative retelling of The Wizard of Oz told from the Wicked Witch's point of view. More than just a fairy tale for adults, Wicked is a meditation on the nature of good and evil.

Warning!!! Very disgusting and perverse!
Revisado: 06-15-17
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
I read all the Oz books by Baum. Saw this and heard of the musical so I thought I would listen. thought it was same level as Baum. NO. Not for children and not for sensible adults. I only made it 30 minutes in and the bathroom and sexual scenes were so graphic and unnatural I had to stop! Deleted this and returned the sequels. WARNING!!!!

Historia
World War Three wiped out the humankind. The planet is empty now. Huge cities became dust and ashes. Railroads are being eaten by rust. Abandoned satellites hang lonely in their orbits. Radio is mute on all frequencies. The only survivors of the last war were those who made it into the gates of the Metro, the subway system of Moscow city. It's there, hundreds of feet below the ground, in the vaults of what was constructed as the world's largest air-raid shelter, where now people try to outlive the end of days.

What... happened?!
Revisado: 04-23-17
What disappointed you about Metro 2035?
I finished reading 2034 thinking that it was one of the most beautiful and well written stories ever. The ending was brilliant, everything about it was poetry in narrative. I get to this and I am reminded why I hate it when games are pushed to come out with movies, or books for games and movies, etc. When language and sexual dialogue are used this much and this graphically, it tells me that there is not enough meaningful things to be said. The story goes nowhere, literally. This book was horrible. What happened?
What was most disappointing about Dmitry Glukhovsky’s story?
The only meaningful thing that I can glean from this story is the utter depravity and evil of all men. If that is what he is trying to express than he succeeded. Otherwise, why would someone who has proven that he is a literary master, stoop to writing such awful trash?
What character would you cut from Metro 2035?
75% of the book. All the F bombs and graphic scenes.
