I love Patricia Cornwell, but this was not her best effort. Same bad guys and outer space weapons and a very labored story

It begins by tracing a first divide back to the origins of the racial divide going back to Civil War times. Then it discusses our bleak present, reflected in the controversy over the killings of Blacks by cops and the Black Lives Matter movement. It describes the difficulty of ending segregation and ending or delaying affirmative action.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
This was a complete waste of time and money. The subject is over simplified. That the US was divided by the Civil War is no great revelation.
The person reading the book Mispronounces numerous words.
