Historia
From trips on private jets and encounters with world leaders to shocking accounts of misogyny and double standards behind the scenes, this searing memoir exposes both the personal and the political fallout when unfettered power and a rotten company culture take hold. In a gripping and often absurd narrative where a few people carelessly hold the world in their hands, this eye-opening memoir reveals what really goes on among the global elite.

Awful performance almost ruined the experience for me
Revisado: 12-08-23
I hated when the narrator impersonated male voices. She is not good at it. Passable book.

Historia

Historia
Problems between fathers and daughters can damage a young girl's identity, convince her she's unloveable or without worth, and send her into unhealthy adult relationships. This groundbreaking book includes in-depth stories and case histories of a broad spectrum of women over 25 who have recovered and flourished in their professional and personal lives despite the lack of a father's recognition and affection. While the legacy of pain that these fathers leave is deep, there is much that can be done to alleviate and even conquer it.

The worst book I ever read
Revisado: 09-04-20
Shallow analysis and misleading contents. The authors spends whole chapters describing pathological behavior probably disclosed to her during therapy sessions. The problem is that the father behavior she describes is utterly irrelevant, unless your father was a schizophrenic, bipolar or a drug user. At the end, don't worry dear, marry a good man and he will "validate you"
The narrator is so out of touch with the contents of the book that some times she sounds like a TV commercial, all cutesy and fun. This book is poorly written and poorly produced.

A wonderfully told story that helped me understand the deep loss and trauma behind each person forced to flee a war zone and the desperate need to survive that moves these “bodies without a soul” as the author describe them. Excelente narration makes the characters come to life.

Historia
Now at last Keith Richards pauses to tell his story in the most anticipated autobiography in decades. And what a story! Listening obsessively to Chuck Berry and Muddy Waters records in a coldwater flat with Mick Jagger and Brian Jones, building a sound and a band out of music they loved. Finding fame and success as a bad-boy band, only to find themselves challenged by authorities everywhere....

Interesting story, horrible narration
Revisado: 07-30-19
It is not clear to me if KR's self-involvement and unempathetic personality is the result of his substance abuse or his own but, overall, I found the book very interesting as it provides an insight into the isolated life of a rock star and the genesis of a band that is an unparalleled legend. There are refreshing strokes of irony and humor along the way, and also some common sense warnings, KIDS: Don't try this at home. At least it's good to know he learned that life lesson.
The narration is horrible. I hated both Johnny Depp and Joe Hurley. They definitely hurt the audiobook experience. I can't believe the publisher went along with it.
