At sixteen Anne is grown up. . . almost. In the years since she arrived at Green Gables as a freckle-faced orphan, she has earned the love of the people of Avonlea and a reputation for getting into scrapes. Abridged version
Revisado: 10-20-23
I was reading the book along with the audio only to realize that this version is abridged. The description needs to be updated to reflect this. Quite frustrating.

Historia
The Two Towers is the second volume of J.R.R. Tolkien's epic saga, The Lord of the Rings. The Fellowship has been forced to split up. Frodo and Sam must continue alone towards Mount Doom, where the One Ring must be destroyed. Meanwhile, at Helm’s Deep and Isengard, the first great battles of the War of the Ring take shape. In this splendid, unabridged audio production of Tolkien’s great work, all the inhabitants of a magical universe - hobbits, elves, and wizards - spring to life. Rob Inglis’ narration has been praised as a masterpiece of audio.

Good book
Revisado: 07-12-23
Good use of voices, though occasionally it sounded like the narrator used the wrong one. This is a very minute criticism, and it’s so infrequent that it doesn’t detract from the performance. I think Sam’s character is better in the movies, but this book obviously came way before so I guess it’s the “right” one. Very good book, very good reader

Historia
In the satirical tradition of Catch-22 and M*A*S*H, Fobbit takes us into the chaotic world of Baghdad's Forward Operating Base Triumph. The Forward Operating base, or FOB, is like the back-office of the battlefield - where people eat and sleep, and where a lot of soldiers have what looks suspiciously like an office job. Male and female soldiers are trying to find an empty Porta Potty in which to get acquainted, grunts are playing Xbox, and watching NASCAR between missions....

Odd story
Revisado: 05-24-22
Reader was fantastic, great voices etc. Story was odd. Tried too hard to be both Catch-22 and profane. I’d pass, all in all
