Historia
Raising a family was always Adam Mills’ dream, although solo parenting and moving back to tiny Garnet Run certainly were not. After a messy breakup, Adam is doing his best to give his young daughter the life she deserves - including accepting help from their new reclusive neighbor to fulfill her Christmas wish. Though the little house may not have “the most lights ever”, the Mills home begins to brighten as handsome Wes Mobray spends more time there and slowly sheds his protective layers. But when the eye-catching house ends up in the news, Wes has to make a choice.

Great story and narration!
Revisado: 07-21-23
This story was so captivating that I finished it in one hot July day! Loved the lense provided by an 8 year old daughter and her dad, recovering from heartache and finding home in the people and place of small town Wyoming. The characters were well written, believable, sexy (adults), honest and humorous. Adored the code of honesty invoked by an excellent parent--the perfect growth device for everyone. Looking forward to my next Roan Parrish listening adventure.

Revisado: 05-12-23
Great story told from viewpoint of a knowledgeable hockey insider. The teen love, lust and angst are right at home among fierce play, from the main characters and their siblings. Excellent actor! Tom Picasso's narration sent me in search of more if his work. And I am scouting hockey tix, for the first time ever.

Historia
The festive season isn't always happy for Tori Spring and her brother, Charlie. And this year's going to be harder than most. I used to think that difficult was better than boring, but I know better now.... I’m not going to think about the past few months, about Charlie and me and all of the sad. I’m going to block it all out just for today. 'Happy Christmas,' I say.

Revisado: 06-16-21
But the vignettes and stories cut too close. I am a couple of generations older and had a similar military upbringing and academic life. I can testify to experiences which should make us numb. Readers should appreciate being able to walk in the shoes of these talented women. They clearly demonstrate a life filled with lemonade, supportive family and truly tight friends. Some will find the bodacious routine racism funny; having lived it, I feel the pain all over again. However, we are alive to tell the story!

Walk down memory lane. Lovely concert plus many juicy tidbits about Taylor and other popular music giants of the 1960s. Reminds me of why those days were so influential for my generation. Delightfully succinct and entertaining. You will feel like you’ve been at an intimate coffeehouse with James Taylor as your muse!

Complex procedural one Peters’ Best
Revisado: 04-12-20
A richly layered tale...young lovers, a silenced woman, a kept woman, evil relatives and many crusading heroes along with murders and evil duplicity.
As always, a delight to become more intimately acquainted with Cadfael’s brothers and the Abbott. This time around, a monks insight and wisdom ripples beyond the former Crusader himself.
The narrator is slowly paced, an aide to follow all the branches of this satisfying tale! A good read and listen that deserves attention.

Although beautiful young widow Phoebe, Lady Clare, has never met West Ravenel, she knows one thing for certain: He’s a mean, rotten bully. Back in boarding school, he made her late husband’s life a misery, and she’ll never forgive him for it. But when Phoebe attends a family wedding, she encounters a dashing and impossibly charming stranger who sends a fire-and-ice jolt of attraction through her. And then he introduces himself...as none other than West Ravenel.

Worth a Saturday Night
Revisado: 02-24-19
A well positioned addition to the Ravenel-Wallflower series. Richly rendered characters, wholly engaging. I have been a repeat reader and listener. This actress brings each character to life, with consistent humor and wryness as needed. Kleypas is a master at setting detailed historical scenes, and painting unique sexual tastes, wholly distinctive. I loved getting to know West Ravenel and Phoebe from enticing previous introductions. You will too!
