Not the X you’ve known
Revisado: 06-22-22
Hated this one. None of the characters were likable. Bad guys and worse guys, I never really cared if any of them survived their predicament that required The Nowwhere Man. And it was so long, too long, really. I felt like X made sloppy mistakes this time. Maybe author is trying to show him “evolving,” but it didn’t work for me.

Historia
Reacher takes a stroll through a small Wisconsin town and sees a class ring in a pawn shop window: West Point 2005. A tough year to graduate: Iraq, then Afghanistan. The ring is tiny, for a woman, and it has her initials engraved on the inside. Reacher wonders what unlucky circumstance made her give up something she earned over four hard years. He decides to find out. And find the woman. And return her ring. Why not?

Narrator ruins this for me
Revisado: 11-30-17
Would you consider the audio edition of The Midnight Line to be better than the print version?
NO
Who was your favorite character and why?
Reacher, always
Would you be willing to try another one of Dick Hill’s performances?
NEVER
Any additional comments?
Dick Hill sounds like an 80-year old man. He doesn't convey the strength or intelligence that I imagine for Reacher at all. The first Reacher audio book I returned because of him; I decided to give him another shot with this one. I overlooked all of my prior misgivings, until he voiced the federal agent in this book. He made him sound like a foreign toddler, it was terrible. I'm sure he is a good narrator, but not for Jack Reacher. I won't be listenting to any more Lee Child from this narrator.
