Historia
Les Misérables has long been recognized as one of the finest novels of all time, a brilliant fusion of unforgettable characters and universal themes.
Its hero is Jean Valjean, the noble peasant imprisoned. A sweeping story of love and honor in the depths of the Parisian underworld, immerses us in an epic struggle between good and evil, and carries us onto the barricades during the uprising of 1832 with a realism that is unsurpassed in modern literature.

Didn't know it was Abridged
Revisado: 08-03-24
The narrator of the story is good, and the story itself is good, but when I bought this book there was nothing telling me that it was abridged. I only found out after I had finished the story.

Historia
Here are some of the finest fairytales from around the world - most of them old favorites: "Sleeping Beauty," "Rumpelstiltskin," "Cinderella," three from "The Arabian Nights," and many more. Andrew Lang was one of the most famous literary critics around 1900. He also edited a series of children's fable books that preserved and illustrated a host of tales which are still used extensively today.

Great collection of fairy tales for the car!
Revisado: 08-06-18
My family has really enjoyed listening to this collection of fairy tales. We have the hard copy of the book as well, but the audio version is very nice when on the way to practice across town. The stories are just long enough to carry us through the drive there (and sometimes back) but not so long that we forget what happened in between takes. Of course each of the kids has their favorite but mine is probably the original Beauty and the Beast. Such a wonderful tale. The readers voice is the right blend of storytelling without being overly dramatic. She doesn't need to be. The stories tell themselves, and the reader is the Steward of them. Do yourself a favor and get this audiobook for your family!
