Historia
Peregrine Jay, owner of the Dolphin Theatre, is putting on a magnificent production of Macbeth, the play that, superstition says, always brings bad luck. But one night the claymore swings, and the dummy's head is more than real: murder behind the scene. Luckily, Chief Superintendent Roderick Alleyn is in the audience....

At least learn how to say the characters names.
Revisado: 10-01-21
This was done in 2016 according to the copyright. It is not that hard to google words from non English languages like Rangi, and find out that they are pronounced rung-ee rather than “ran gee”
At least have some respect for the authors home country.
And that’s without getting started on how to say Alleyn’s name.

Historia
It was a horrible death - Maurice Questing was lured into a pool of boiling mud and left there to die. Chief Inspector Roderick Alleyn, far from home on a wartime quest for German agents, knows that any number of people could have killed him. But who actually did?

Terrible narration.
Revisado: 11-27-20
The “accent” given to supposed maori in this story is vaguely East Asian (Indian), and not at all what maori people sound like. (They don’t have a discernible accent, apart from other kiwis) It’s so grating I could not continue listening.

Historia
My name is Becky. I arrived home to find my husband, Chris, stabbed to death and a gang of men ransacking our house. Turns out that Chris had something that belonged to them. And if I want to stay alive, I have to find it and return it. They’ve given me seven days. And a beating. There is nowhere to hide and no time left to look. So I will stand my ground as the deadline approaches. All I have is a head full of lies and a very bad plan. This is my story.

Best Andrew Barrett so far
Revisado: 06-10-19
I’m a fan of all Andrew Barrett’s books but this is the best one yet. The twists and turns leave you shocked and gasping and literally wanting more. The way Andrew takes the foibles of real people and turns them in a story is both believable and disconcerting. A great stand alone read. (Most of his books are series based)
