Story dragged needlessly

There was a lot of fluff and unnecessary chapters. I fell asleep several times listening to this book just trying to get through it. The ending was amazing but the characters needed depth. There were so many secondary character diving and inconsequential stories dived into that I honestly lost the point of what the chapters actually wanted to accomplish sometimes. It was tough to get through and not anywhere near as riveting as the first book.

Heart warming and sweet

Story is about a woman who turned lemons into lemonade. Super sweet listen. Recommended feel good book. Loved the narration too.

Very long and multiple sex scenes that had me listening at 2.50 and faster to just get through. Narration sometimes had a odd drawl that made me have to double check if my listening speed went to 0.7.

Loved the ending but the story has dull moments

The author spent so much time on the knitting group just for them to become a blip in the story. The main character was also unlikeable at times. There were great laugh at loud moments and the twist at the end was great.

Not good as an audio

The book starts with no intro as to who is speaking and the chapters have no titles either. Getting the physical book is the best option. There’s also no accompanying PDF of images even though it’s mentioned in the audiobook.

I tried to listen to the first 4 chapters over and over to get into it. I often found myself mentally drifting away and needing to go back. I just couldn’t get into this story. It wouldn’t hold my attention. I didn’t like the structure of the book it felt a little all over the place. I wasn’t into the character and didn’t find them reasonable or interesting.

Such a cute romcom

This is a lighthearted read which is exactly what I needed. It has a lot of laugh at loud moments and it wasn’t a steamy book although there were some romantic moments. Totally recommend for those wanting a lighthearted fun book.

Laugh out loud story

This was a fun romcom. Very lighthearted, not too predictable. I appreciated that it wasn’t overly steamy either. There’s one scene that doesn’t get graphic into the details. Love the voices of the readers too.

Male narrator was awful

Without spoilers. The sixth chapter in particular was narrator terribly and made me strongly consider giving up on this listen. I’ve married into a Bajan family and the accent he casted for people from Barbados was offensively horrible and at times incoherent. The story line dragged at points as well. The saving grace was the female narrator and the enthusiasm and life she gave to the story.
