I feel bad rating the performance low because the voice actors no doubt did their best, however it is hard to separate the content from the performance. This was the most awkward patchwork job of "Christianizing" a novel that I have ever had the misfortune to read or listen to. Had I known that this was the case, I would never have wasted the credits.

This book offers an excellent overview of the failures of the diet industry to solve the obesity epidemic, complete with research references, clear explanations and analogies, and humour. The author makes a compelling case for why the medical, food and diet industries have failed us in the matter of controlling weight and aiding weight loss, and concludes with a suggestion for weight loss backed by history, science, and human physiology.

The subject matter is fairly technical but the overall topic is fascinating to me and I actually “binge listened” to this book.

The narrator mispronounced numerous words which I found distracting (referring to the program “Participaction” as “Participation” and “glycogen” as “glysogen” are two examples). However, beyond that he does a great job of narrating pretty technical material.

What did you love best about The Five Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts?

Understanding ourselves and our loved ones better is the best way to improve relationships. The concepts presented in this book will help you do exactly that. Learn how to "speak" in the language of love that your loved one(s) will relate to best. Although the book is geared towards marriage relationships, these are universal concepts that will help you in every type of relationship in your life: marriage, parent-child, friendships, and work relationships.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I found the examples used to explain the concepts were very clear.

This book holds the secret to changing deeply held, unconscious beliefs that hold us back from being our best selves. The concepts are simple, yet striking and effective and in fact, life changing.
