Historia
The Irishman is an epic saga of organized crime in post-war America told through the eyes of World War II veteran Frank Sheeran, a hustler and hitman who worked for legendary crime boss Russell Bufalino alongside some of the most notorious figures of the 20th Century. Spanning decades, Sheeran’s story chronicles one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in American history, the disappearance of legendary union boss Jimmy Hoffa, and offers a monumental journey through the hidden corridors of organized crime: its inner workings, rivalries, and connections to mainstream politics.

Best narration I've heard in a long time. If the film is even half as good as the book then it's gonna be one hell of a cinematic experience.

Historia
A young, naïve but ultimately courageous hedge knight, Ser Duncan the Tall towers above his rivals—in stature if not experience. Tagging along is his diminutive squire, a boy called Egg—whose true name is hidden from all he and Dunk encounter. Though more improbable heroes may not be found in all of Westeros, great destinies lay ahead for these two . . . as do powerful foes, royal intrigue, and outrageous exploits. Featuring more than 160 all-new illustrations by Gary Gianni, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is a must-have collection that proves chivalry isn’t dead—yet.

How many eyes does Lord Bloodraven have?
Revisado: 02-23-18
First off, I'm a big time GRR Martin fan so I'm always slightly biased in his favor. That being said, I highly enjoyed this novel. It was read amazingly well. I could picture all of the characters in my mind's eye. I suggest any fan of Martin to get this book, pronto.

Combining cutting-edge neuroscience with compelling personal stories from top athletes, leading scientists, military veterans, and gifted artists, he shows how proximity to water can improve performance, increase calm, diminish anxiety, and increase professional success.

Not quite "Blue Mind"
Revisado: 02-15-18
Although the book was well written and well performed, I felt that not enough information and attention was actually paid to the interaction of body, brain, and water. There was great information regarding the brain in many activities but as far as "Blue Mind", it should've been titled "The brain & activity" or something thereof. I'm glad I purchased the book but this is just my 2 cents on the whole package.

Can't Disagree With This One
Revisado: 04-05-16
Would you consider the audio edition of The Four Agreements to be better than the print version?
I personally feel that the audio book and print book complement one another quite well. I own both and reread and re listen to both.
What did you like best about this story?
The message and delivery of the message. Thank you Peter Coyote.
What about Peter Coyote’s performance did you like?
His voice is soothing but not sleep inducing and goes perfectly with the story and message. Plus, Peter Coyote is one amazing name.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
I dare you to disagree with the Four Agreements.

Historia
In this riveting, accessible work of science, Charles Mann takes us on an enthralling journey of scientific exploration. We learn that the Indian development of modern corn was one of the most complex feats of genetic engineering ever performed. That the Great Plains are a third smaller today than they were in 1700 because the Indians who maintained them by burning died. And that the Amazon rain forest may be largely a human artifact.

Great info that many might not appreciate since it probably doesn't coincide with their biases, paradigms, and pre-conceived notions, both positive and negative, of Native American, Indian or Indigenous people.
If you, the reader(listener) are open minded and enjoy learning new insight, then this book is for you. I enjoyed it so much that I'm off too get 1493.

Revisado: 10-29-15
First off, I must say that this is one well read story. The narrator has a great voice, manner of reading, and grasp of the subject.
Second, this book really inspired me. I appreciated the search and struggles of Siddhartha. I really feel the character and what he is going through.
Third, do yourself and the world around you a favor and read this book. We all will be better for it.

Historia
In the late 1890s, Edmund Dene Morel, a young British shipping company agent, noticed something strange about the cargoes of his company's ships as they arrived from and departed for the Congo. Incoming ships were crammed with valuable ivory and rubber. Outbound ships carried little more than soldiers and firearms. Correctly concluding that only slave labor could account for these cargoes, Morel almost singlehandedly made this slave-labor regime the premier human rights story in the world.

Where to start? The information I gathered from this book was startling. Not only was I educated, I was entertained. I not only learned about King Leopold, I learned about Henry Morton Stanley, Joseph Conrad, and a slew of other historical figures.
I really enjoyed the way the book was read. The pauses, the cadence, and the the readers voice all were impressive. Another great selection from Audible. Thank you.

Funnyman Adam Carolla is known for two things: hilarious rants about things that drive him crazy and personal stories about everything from his hardscrabble childhood to his slacker friends to the hypocrisy of Hollywood. He tackled rants in his first book, and now he tells his best stories and debuts some never-before-heard tales as well. Adam Carolla started broke and blue collar and has now been on the Hollywood scene for over 15 years. Yet he never lost his underdog demeanor.

I read the hard copy over a decade ago and when I saw it on Audible, I scooped it up faster than MJ on a Showtime fast break. Great information that so many have never heard about, well read and intriguing, this book will infotain you like few non-fiction history/information books. Enjoy and thank me later.
