What an amazing story! The character development was so good. The descriptive style is second to none drawing the reader in the battle with the Shepherds all the way through. I can’t wait for the next book. Hands down, my favorite authors; and this Shepherd series is as good as it gets.

Andrews and Wilson killing it as usual!!! Loved the story, but the narrator was rough. Narrator mixed accents some and couldn’t voice over women’s voices well, so dialogue was sometimes difficult to follow.

Better than expected

I went into this honestly not expecting it to create a future plot. I expected it to wrap up loose threads. This ended up being a great launchpad for book 4. Can’t wait for the next one!

#7 is the best yet. I was gripped and sucked into the story even more this time. I felt myself emotionally attached to the characters throughout the story. Loved it!

I’m thankful for the transparency and vulnerability shared in this book. Life, family, careers and the accompanying ups and downs are bigger than a single event you may be known for; and this book explores that. All the extra audiobook content included here is fantastic as. Listen all the way to the last second, you won’t t regret it.

What a journey!!

I don’t know how, but A&W get better every book. This book was fantastic. Just when I thought I knew what was coming next, I was pleasantly surprised by a gentle twist in the story. This book has all the proper feel-good, patriotic, proud, thoughtful and tough guy emotions. This book takes you on such a journey of character growth. Thank you to the authors and congratulations on another home run!! Kudos as well to the narrator!! He did amazing as always!!!!

Much needed history

This was a story that seemed to raise more questions than it answered. I feel like the content of the last part of the book was more valuable than the rest of the book. I will give credit for the fantastic investigative journalism which has taken place to compile this book. I hope the author can find time and resources to further dig into the new theories and information presented in the last part of the book. I’d like to give the 5 stars, but it feels too much like an unfinished piece.

A critical message

I’m so thankful for this book and the message it brings. The story is bigger than politics, perspectives and a single country. The story does so much to shine a light on the world military community and the compassion for Afghanistan. I’m grateful Chad took the time to record these events and bring them to us. This book unearths a mountain of content that the media never shares. This is a must read.

Unbelievably good

I’m absolutely mind blown by the story and character development from Andrew’s and Wilson. This story was so engaging I couldn’t stop. The descriptive details had me hanging on every word walking step by step with the characters. With that, the narrator performed flawlessly.
