Not what I expected from an apocalyptic novel.

This was not at all what I expected in lol a post apocalyptic novel but it was an interesting take on what could happen hundreds of years after a massive apocalyptic even lollauûìoo nt. There were some pieces left unexplained. I really wanted to know more about the base.

I love how everyone in the story wasn’t perfect and the author wasn’t afraid to take out key characters. I was a little surprised to not hear something on Emma but honestly, that is probably how it would be. I enjoyed the story a lot and I think there are great things in store from this author. Kevin Pierce is amazing as always.

It could have been great….

I give a thumbs up for a new spin on how an EMP situation could come about. I really felt like it was a little too full of crazy scenarios. The descriptions of fighting, killing, etc., were a bit graphic at times. I know some is necessary but it just got a bit old and over the top. I love apocolyptic novels for the survival story but honestly this felt more like a book about relationships. I finally got to a point I wanted to stop listening but I was too invested and needed to know where it went. Not horrible but not my favorite. Kevin Pierce is the best part of the book.

Amazing the second time too

I had not listened to this book in probably two years. I had forgot what it was about but turned it on just for some noise. I had forgotten how it all went and I think it was probably better the second time around. A really great book for anyone that has struggled with a life just a bit different than they imagined.

This is the first person I have ever felt got it. Not everyone just can throw stuff out no biggie deal. This is the first time I have understood why I can keep an RV or hotel room perfect but be a total slob at home. This is the third book I have listened to and it never gets old. I finally feel like I am making progress.

Great Book!!

I really enjoyed this book. It brought back memories to not have computers and cell phones as an ordinary thing in life. It focused more on the suspense and mystery. Just when I thought it was done it ramped up again. I love all of Robyn Carr’s books.

I lost six hours of my life

This was awful. I wanted to enjoy it but the narration is horrible, the story was so thin I finally gave up. This just motivated me that I can write a book if this is what a “good book” is.
