Historia
I'm not interested in starting something deep and meaningful, but what I am interested in is the way your body reacts to mine when we're in the same room. You probably assume the concentration on my face is work-related, when in reality, I'm figuring out which I want more: to nail you against the wall, or to bend you over my desk.

Historia
The hardscrabble folks of Troublesome Creek have to scrap for everything - everything except books, that is. Thanks to Roosevelt's Kentucky Pack Horse Library Project, Troublesome's got its very own traveling librarian, Cussy Mary Carter. Cussy's not only a book woman, however, she's also the last of her kind, her skin a shade of blue unlike most anyone else. Not everyone is keen on Cussy's family or the Library Project, and a Blue is often blamed for any whiff of trouble.

Hooked on the first book… loved all nine!
Revisado: 07-04-24
Shawn Inmon is a very creative and wonderful writer. Jonathan McClain is the perfect narrator for the series and I don’t think Shawn could’ve found a better one. I’m glad this was the last book in the series because it was a great place to stop. Other than the fantastic stories I enjoyed Shawn’s personal narration at the end of each of his books.

Historia
It is 1940 and William, 12, Edmund, 11, and Anna, nine, aren't terribly upset by the death of the not-so-grandmotherly grandmother who has taken care of them since their parents died. But the children do need a guardian, and in the dark days of World War II London, those are in short supply, especially if they hope to stay together. Could the mass wartime evacuation of children from London to the countryside be the answer?

Tear Jerker
Revisado: 09-18-23
I sometimes wonder if others that left a review read the same book. Great read but I must give a warning if you don’t want to cry don’t read this book. I don’t remember ever crying so much even when I tell myself to stop. The story left one question unanswered unless the author wanted the reader to answer it.

More than two centuries after World War III poisoned the planet, the final bastion of humanity lives on massive airships circling the globe in search of a habitable area to call home. After a long and eventful life, Allan Karlsson ends up in a nursing home, believing it to be his last stop. The only problem is that he's still in good health, and in one day, he turns 100. A big celebration is in the works, but Allan really isn't interested (and he'd like a bit more control over his vodka consumption). So he decides to escape. He climbs out the window in his slippers and embarks on a hilarious and entirely unexpected journey, involving, among other surprises, a suitcase stuffed with cash.

Wonderfully creative
Revisado: 05-20-23
I was happily surprised by the timeline the story was told and by all the things that can happen to one person. I’m sure if some of the story was nonfiction because I felt as though I was being educated. Loved and recommend it. A diamond amongst all the other book.
