Really cute, fun story with a great narrator. This is one book/series that is sooo much better listening to rather than reading!

Excellent performance
Revisado: 10-18-17
The narrator did an excellent job-clear, understandable, pleasant voice, differentiated characters.
Love Dean Koontz stories. Definitely stretches the imagination. Liked the characters. A bit confusing so while this is an excellent & different book, and an enjoyable read, I did not think it was one of his best.

Historia
Alden McCausland and his mother are what they call “accident rich”; thanks to an unexpected life-insurance policy payout and a winning Big Maine Millions scratcher, Alden and his Ma are able to spend their summers down by Lake Abenaki, idly drinking their days away in a three-room cabin with an old dock and a lick of a beach. Across the lake, they can see what “real rich” looks like: the Massimo family’s Twelve Pines Camp, the big white mansion with guest house and tennis court that Alden’s Ma says is paid for by “ill-gotten gains” courtesy of Massimo Construction.

Exciting good book
Revisado: 02-28-17
Enjoyed the book & the interesting characters. Had to listen to it whenever possible to find out what was going to happen next. The narrator seemed a little raspy in places but the characters were mostly unique. Gave it 5 stars because it kept my interest & flowed well. I loved the characters (even those I didn't like) & loved the location & descriptions.
(Only caught one slip...at one point where it said the sisters were watching a reality show, the narrator said Anna & the sister were laughing but Anna wasn't there, just the sisters. Lol)

Historia
It was just another after-work happy-hour bar downtown, where business professionals unwound with a few drinks, complained about the boss, maybe hooked up with someone for the night. Until something went terribly wrong. At first it was just a friction in the air. The noise intensified. The crowd seemed oppressive. Some sharp words were exchanged, some pushing and shoving. Then the madness descended. And after 12 minutes of chaos and violence, 80 people lay dead.

Too gross & graphic!
Revisado: 10-09-16
This was my first (& last) JD Robb book. Thought premise was interesting enough, if a little graphic, the story quickly devolved into detailed descriptions of Eve's sex life, gross descriptions of the murders & Eve's childhood abuse. Narration was ok but sometimes couldn't tell at first if character was male or female and Irish(?) accent was downright annoying. By end of first hour, I couldn't stand any longer & turned it off!! A waste of money to me.

Good story by a good author
Revisado: 09-25-16
This was a good Lincoln Lawyer story. Kept my interest throughout and tied up the ends nicely (if predictably) at the end. Good narration, but not my favorite voice. Seemed a bit monotone-ish at times, but the story he was narrating kept my interest enough to ignore most of the time. I would recommend this to others, like me, who want a nice, engaging story that is easy to follow while driving,...not too many similar characters or too complicated a plot to distract attention from the road!
