Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

Historia
At some point, every one of us embarks on a journey to find love. We meet people, date, get into and out of relationships, all with the hope of finding someone with whom we share a deep connection. This seems standard now, but it’s wildly different from what people did even just decades ago. Single people today have more romantic options than at any point in human history. With technology, our abilities to connect with and sort through these options are staggering. So why are so many people frustrated?

Funny and insightful
Revisado: 07-01-15
I wasn't sure what to expect, and after the initial settling in period, found Aziz to be a great narrator and the content to be interesting and engaging. There are some really great research here, and it leaves you with lots to think about regarding dating in the modern age.

Historia
It was whispered all through London society that he was a murderer, that he'd spent his youth in an asylum and was not to be trusted - especially with a lady. Any woman caught in his presence was immediately ruined. Yet Beth found herself inexorably drawn to the Scottish lord whose hint of a brogue wrapped around her like silk and whose touch could draw her into a world of ecstasy.

Historia
Fans of Neil Gaiman, Holly Black, and Maggie Stiefvater will embrace the richly drawn, Norse-influenced alternate world of the United States of Asgard, where cell phones, rock bands, and evangelical preachers coexist with dragon slaying, rune casting, and sword training in schools. Where the president runs the country alongside a council of Valkyries, gods walk the red carpet with Hollywood starlets, and the US military has a special battalion dedicated to eradicating Rocky Mountain trolls.

Compelling
Revisado: 04-21-15
Fans of Tessa's
first book will not be disappointed by the second, a book that is much darker, and far more complex than you might initially think. Cynthias narration is different from bk 1, with the male narrator being missed at first, but she becomes each character so completely that she is perfect for the roles.

Historia
Fans of Neil Gaiman's American Gods and Holly Black's The Curse Workers will embrace this richly drawn, Norse-mythology-infused alternate world: the United States of Asgard. Seventeen-year-old Soren Bearskin is trying to escape the past. His father, a famed warrior, lost himself to the battle-frenzy and killed thirteen innocent people. Soren cannot deny that berserking is in his blood - the fevers, insomnia, and occasional feelings of uncontrollable rage haunt him. So he tries to remain calm and detached from everyone at Sanctus Sigurd's Academy.

A fabulous rendering of Tessa's first book in the series. Excellent narration
gave life to all the characters, and introduced the world of Asgard with such familiarity that I felt I had always known it.

amazing ending to a terrific series
Revisado: 02-02-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Absolutely - I feel like I know these characters, that I could be talking to them on the phone
Who was your favorite character and why?
N/A
What about Steven Kaplan and Mariel Stern ’s performance did you like?
Both fabulous - both developed the emotional depth of the characters beyond my expectations.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Made me cry while driving (not a great thing!) but also gave me a lift with the final chapter.
Any additional comments?
Tremendous series, and I'm so happy that I listened to it instead of reading it. There was a sense of intimacy that came with the audio version, and I loved it.
