An Fun Take on Vampires

Part comedy, part action, part snarky teen urban fantasy, part rom-com, the story was hard to peg down but somehow wove all the genres into something really enjoyable. Great voice performance as well. Highly recommended.

Great World-Building With Fantastic Narration

Great action with likable characters and fun world-building. The idea that everyone has a superpower, from little old ladies to professional superheroes is fairly unique for the genre. Lots of pop-culture references and some truly funny parts. Would recommend it to anyone.

I love Drew Hayes. His Superpowered series is one of my favorites. This was not... Great concept- but I never got enough character building to really care about the main character. I know it was a choice to tell it in individual story format but it felt too disjointed for me.

I finally lost it in Book 7

I really enjoyed the first 6 books of the series. This one went stale on me. However given the high (and plentiful) reviews of others maybe I am the enigma here. For me (qualifier check) it was too long and the character sheet repeats were just overwhelming after a time. It felt like 20 of the 47 hours of the book was repeating the micro increases in character sheets.
