Historia
Nesta Archeron has always been prickly-proud, swift to anger, and slow to forgive. And ever since being forced into the Cauldron and becoming High Fae against her will, she's struggled to find a place for herself within the strange, deadly world she inhabits. Against the sweeping backdrop of a world seared by war and plagued with uncertainty, Nesta and Cassian battle monsters from within and without as they search for acceptance - and healing - in each other's arms.

Narrator way over doing it
Revisado: 11-26-24
The story itself is incredible. I loved getting to know Nesta as a complex being instead of just the angry sister. Getting to experience her and Cassian’s perspectives is really wonderful. The narrator made it really hard to enjoy the spicier scenes. Very throaty, breathy, and strained sounding. At times she seemed to be in pain. Character voice distinction isn’t great either - sometimes I had to rewind to figure out who was actually talking in a scene.

Fantastic
Revisado: 12-08-23
I’ve read the book and now listened to it as well - no time for a reread. The narrator did a fantastic job and the story itself is one that translates well whether you’re reading or listening.

Historia
This Psych 312 assignment just might send me off the deep end. Determining whether love at first sight really exists with Robbie Moravian as my project partner of all people? He’s the sappiest man alive, so upbeat I could scream, and clearly rooting for happy endings at every turn. How does he not learn from experience considering our own meet-cute last semester almost got us expelled? But we both need to pass this course to graduate. So we’re interviewing five random couples about their meet-cutes and relationships and spending all this time together. Which is certainly...educational.

Love at first listen
Revisado: 05-31-23
I’ve already sent this to my closest friends to listen to. It was so cute and just breezy and easy to listen to. The performance was wonderful and the story is lighthearted and engaging. Give it a listen.

Historia
The first time I meet Damon, he rescues me from a nightmare. Literally. I’m stuck in a coma, and my mind is forcing me to relive the horrific accident that put me in this state over and over again. The gorgeous fae king is the only one who can give me peace. As if the dream can’t get any weirder, he tells me we’re soul mates. He says he can fix my banged-up brain. He wants to be my hero. Little does he know I just might end up saving him. Because once I wake up, the real challenge begins. A bunch of vengeful witches want him dead, and they’ll stop at nothing to seal his fate.

Disappointing
Revisado: 03-19-23
I really enjoyed the first book and was looking forward to book 2. I’ve been unable to finish this book because the narration is SO bad. The male narrator is pompous and the female narrator seems to think everyone from the far realm had a poorly done British accent. I would give the narration a 0 if I could.

This book always makes me smile on a tough day. It’s so nice to be able to listen to a book that not only makes me, as an adult, feel better, but that I can share with the kids in my family.

Everything Hurts
Revisado: 08-22-22
The narration was wonderful. Let’s start there. Both of the main narrators were excellent and gave stellar performances.
The story was a roller coaster. I figured out the ending partially - very partially - early on but I thought I was wrong and all signs pointed to me being wrong until they didn’t. And I just wasn’t expecting it to be as twisty turvy as it was.
There is so much more that I want. I have so many questions but in a good way.
100% worth the read or the listen.

Oh my goodness! What a performance by Andrew! The story was sexy and cheesy and funny and serious. I loved the development of Patrick and Sasha as individuals and as a couple.
