Historia
After her apprenticeship was done and a place in the guild of villains secured, Tori's life was supposed to get simpler. Unfortunately, a poorly timed errand sees Tori caught in the debut of a new team of capes, one wearing an all-too-familiar name. Thrust into the spotlight, Tori will have to navigate her unwanted fame as well as the suspiciously superheroic new neighbors down the hall, all while keeping up with her own villainous enterprises. With the guild no longer a secret, Hephaestus needs to grow as strong as possible to face her mounting threats.

Amazing Sequel
Revisado: 04-02-21
Everything I had hoped for in this sequel and more. The world building and attention to detail is fantastic. I already can't wait for the next book.

Historia
Toni Windsor is trying to live a quiet life in the green and pleasant county of Staffordshire. She'd love to finally master the rules of croquet, acquire a decent boyfriend and make some commission as an estate agent. All that might have to wait, though, because there are zombies rising from their graves, vampires sneaking out of their coffins and a murder to solve. And it's all made rather more complicated by the fact that she's the one raising all the zombies.

problems with recording
Revisado: 12-27-20
I wanted to like this but there were just some problems I couldn't over look. Mainly, I could hear background noise on the recording and could even hear someone else talking in the background. At one point the narrator even broke from reading to address somebody else in the room. The storry was cute and fun but I had trouble liking or relating to any of the charecters. Fun premise but lacking in professionalism and character development.

Historia
In 1872, New Orleans is a city ruled by the dead. But to 17-year-old Celine Rousseau, New Orleans is a safe haven after she's forced to flee her life as a dressmaker in Paris. Taken in by the sisters of the Ursuline convent in the middle of the carnival season, Celine is quickly enraptured by the vibrant city, from its music to its fancy soirées and even its danger. She becomes embroiled in the city's glitzy underworld, known as La Cour des Lions, after catching the eye of the group's enigmatic leader, Sébastien Saint Germain.

Irresistible
Revisado: 10-13-19
I could not stop listening to this book, I was completely enthralled with the story. The descriptions of New Orleans are beautiful and make it easy to feel like you have fallen back in time. The plot is full of suspense and keeps you guessing at every new revelation. I kept dreading that a new character I was starting to like would turn out to be the killer or in league with the killer. The book is a captivating combination of mystery, horror, romance, history, and supernatural. It is unlike the many other books I have read. The narration is beautifully done, I loved hearing so many different accents performed by just one person. You could instantly recognize where a character was from due to the acting skills of the narrator. I highly recommend this book and I can't wait for the squeal.

Audible Originals bring you a brand new audiobook adaptation of J. Sheridan Le Fanu’s classic gothic novella, Carmilla - starring Rose Leslie ( Game of Thrones and Downton Abbey), David Tennant ( Doctor Who and Broadchurch) and Phoebe Fox ( Life in Squares and The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death)

Amazing Ensemble
Revisado: 10-10-19
I wish they would make a movie of Carmilla using all of the same actors playing the same parts. The actors do an amazing job bringing the characters to life. In my head I could picture David Tennant and Rose Leslie walking around the castle and trying to unravel the mysteries around them. The story is a classic Gothic novel but it predates Dracula by 26 years. You can see many places where Bram Stoker was inspired by Carmilla and copied many of the same themes, styles, and ideas. Anyone who has read Bram Stoker's Dracula, or is just a fan of Gothic or supernatural literature, needs to also read Carmilla.

Historia
It is 2085, and Truckee Wallace, a factory worker in Crunchtown 407 (formerly Little Rock, Arkansas, before the secessions), has no grand ambitions besides maybe, possibly, losing his virginity someday. But when Truckee is thrust unexpectedly into the spotlight, he is tapped by the president for a sensitive political mission: to deliver a talking goat across the continent. The fate of the world depends upon it. The problem is - Truckee’s not sure it’s worth it.

weirdly wonderful
Revisado: 09-30-19
A comedy, dystopian, tragedy, and coming of age all mixed in one. Not for everyone but if you like books that lean towards the weird, then you will enjoy this book. Hilarious and somber at the same time, could see a lot of these things happening to the US in real life.

Historia
Most people would be overjoyed to win $50,000 and the chance to star in a nation-wide commercial, even if it was just for a fast food joint like Camelot Burger. Then again, Clint Tucker has never been like most people. Ushered to the tropical paradise of Kenowai, he and the other winners undertake an island tradition for the cameras, one meant to free a local imprisoned deity. One with very specific requirements that have yet to be met. One that might just be a bit more authentic than any of them expected.
