Spectacular interpretation of the music that inspired this novel! I still don't know if I am team J0 or Julie, but look forward to the debates with my friends. I wonder if there will be a sequel to see how jeff influences the future.

Historia
In this bold, fascinating book, Biss investigates the metaphors and myths surrounding our conception of immunity and its implications for the individual and the social body. As she hears more and more fears about vaccines, Biss researches what they mean for her own child, her immediate community, America, and the world, both historically and in the present moment.

Awesome information

Can't say enough good things about this well researched topic. The author is very factual and presents both sides do the story when she can. However, and I say this for her own good...while the use of personal stories make the book more tolerable and easily to relate to for those not interested in so much science she talks about her relationship with her son too much to the point that it clouds some of her wonderful factually based opinion. Again, introducing topics this way, did make changing/introducing topics easier, but while the author is objective about the research she has done she is not when it comes to her son. For example, the story about her son receiving anesthesia was about a platform to complain about an experience she found traumatic, it very little related to the topic she presented. However, I also think these personal stories paint a picture of the parent she might be, which may speak to those parents or those of us who try to educate these type of parents on why vaccination is important and worth the "risk"

Historia
The final destination may be more dangerous than the trip itself - an unapologetic journey through a town that thrives on sex, violence, and the macabre. A place built on deceit and temptation. A spot forever cursed with soulless transients, unforgiving lovers, and merciless vampires who hide in the shadows beyond.

A slow beginning but the story begins to come together in the middle with an interesting surprise ending.
