Historia
Stella Ainsley leaves poverty behind when she quits her engineering job aboard the Stalwart to become a governess on a private ship. On the Rochester, there’s no water ration, more books than one person could devour in a lifetime, and an AI who seems more friend than robot. But no one warned Stella that the ship seems to be haunted, nor that it may be involved in a conspiracy that could topple the entire interstellar fleet.

I'm a Fan!!!
Revisado: 01-16-19
I found Alexa Donne through the AuthorTube teaching videos and have loved her info myself as an aspiring Author. Once I saw her book was on Audible it was my chance to support and check out her writing directly. I LOVED the idea of Jane Eyre. And from the beginning, the irony hit me as you always see fairy tail and Jane Austen retellings, BUT rarely JE retellings that truly capture the mystery and epic-ness of the story. Enter BRIGHTLY BURNING which I binge listened to in TWO busy days as a mom on the go! I LOVED the story, I loved imagery and voice, and I loved the touches of the classic woven artistically with the sci-fi elements as if they were always hand-in-hand. The hardcover will be going into my shopping cart very soon as I can already tell I will want to reread this very soon. Thanks again Alexa and looking forward to more of your books soon!

Historia
In 1945, Claire Randall, a former combat nurse, is back from the war and reunited with her husband on a second honeymoon. Their blissful reunion is shattered when she touches a boulder in one of the ancient stone ruins and is instantly transported to a Scotland torn by war and raiding border clans—in 1743. Will Claire find her way back to her own time, or is her destiny forever linked with Clan MacKenzie and the gallant James Fraser?

Loved the story, loved the Audiobook
Revisado: 05-07-18
I downloaded the audiobook for convenience after having watched the shows first three seasons, and man I wasn't disappointed! Not only the ease of listening while I accomplish working on other things (raising kids and running a home and driving around town) But the sheer beauty of the details came to life in my mind even better than if I only watched the show:) this was a great audiobook to listen to too, the voice soothing and just right to the tone of the story. Thanks, Audible for reminding me why l love *reading*

Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love. In 1945, former combat nurse Claire Randall returns from World War II and joins her husband for a second honeymoon. But their blissful reunion is shattered....
