I didn't realize how much I love listening to podcasts! I have gained SO many new ways of thinking about relationships, my identity in Christ, my family and so much more. Kristen enters into deep, sometimes hard topics and brings so much encouragement, hope and truth into these spaces!

Excellent, quality book!

I have recovered from an abusive marriage, moved on, and was thriving...until I started trying to date after 5 years of staying single. The trauma came rushing back in unexpected ways.
I found this book incredibly helpful, to pave the way for dealing with the darker parts of my trauma. Anyone who has had a toxic, personality disordered individual impact their life should read this. I work in the field of mental health and still gained surprising new insights into how the past is affecting the present.

Courageous!

I am a mother of children who have been sexually abused by their father. My children told me and their grandmother of the sexual abuse, but would not tell the police, and now DHS has given dad 50/50 custody. I sobbed hysterically listening to this story, and had to take breaks, because my mama heart just couldn't take it at times.
Thank you for sharing of your trauma and horror story. You are a beautiful, brave woman.
I appreciate how the author shares her thoughts throughout the story, about how much she loved her dad, and thought he was so clever, and what she thought and felt in each scene. This book is a must read for anyone in law enforcement, social services, healthcare, or anyone who has abuse on their heart. The grooming tactics used and thoughts of the victim give tremendous insight.

Couldn't finish this book, narrating is awful, content is dated and certainly nothing eye opening. If I could return this audiobook I would.
