Historia
Girls team up to overthrow the kingdom in this unique and powerful retelling of Cinderella from a stunning new voice that’s perfect for fans of A Curse So Dark and Lonely. It’s 200 years after Cinderella found her prince, but the fairy tale is over. Teen girls are now required to appear at the Annual Ball, where the men of the kingdom select wives based on a girl’s display of finery. If a suitable match is not found, the girls not chosen are never heard from again.

Fun spin on a classic tale

I enjoyed this book! The overall listening experience was excellent. The narrator does a fabulous job. The story itself had some areas that felt a little slow and other that felt a little rushed, but overall it was great! Would highly recommend to anyone who loved a good fairytale, mystery, and a twist.

Fun listen!
Revisado: 01-06-24
This was such a great story and I enjoyed it! I rated the performance potion 4 stars but I think it’s more of an editing issue than a narration issue. There were places where a pause should be in dialog etc. and there were none. This made for some awkward sounding/rushed dialog and narration. Other than that the story was great and I recommend it.

Hallmark meets short stories
Revisado: 12-23-23
This is a cute Christmas bride short story. It was my first listen from this author and I’ve since listened to another! I would happily listen to more, too. As a matter of fact that’s my only real complaint: I want more haha! I’d love to see longer novels in this lineup.

Historia
Asher Anderson carries a heavy weight on his shoulders. Not just the weight of responsibility as the deputy sheriff for Culver’s Creek, Missouri. Not just the weight of his dwindling family, as his grandfather grows weaker, and his aunt begins to lose her memory. No, it’s more than that, for Asher can’t shake the ghost of the wife he lost to a bandit raid, eight years before. He could never be untrue to Scarlett’s memory—so he’s sworn off love for good.

Cute Christmas bride story
Revisado: 12-23-23
This is my second book from this author and narrator. The story is cute and sweet. The narrator does a good job. My biggest complaint is that they’re short stories and I want more of the story haha! There appear to be several short story books in this setting from author. I would love to see them compiled into one or two longer audio books, but even more than that, I’d love to see full length novels (8+ hours of listening time) on each story! I’d love to hear more details between each chapter, more backstory, and more info the future of these characters’ stories. Keep up the good work!

Wonderful book; poor narrator.
Revisado: 02-27-23
I loved the book. It was a fun story and would have been an easy listen. The narrator is not great. It is a terrible choice for narration for the voice of what should be a very young woman recently out into society. The book as a whole should be 4/5 stars, but I would give the narration choice 1/2 stars.

Thought provoking, and suspenseful!
Revisado: 01-09-18
Wow! "A Murder of Saints" is absolutely one of the most thought provoking thrillers I've read in a while!
The story follows a man whose younger sister was molested as a preteen by local church leaders. Justice was never served at the time, and the young girl commits suicide. Her older brother doesn't do well after the incident, and comes back 20 years later with revenge on the mind.
The story unfolds from the perspective of more than one character, including the murderer.
What I love most about this book is that it presses you to think about the greater damage that our corrupt Justice system plays into. What I will warn you about: the book is can be quite morbid, and it covers several uncomfortable topics. If you're easily squeamish or don't enjoy true horror books, this is not the book for you.
The narrator is fantastic, and I would gladly listen to him read other books!
I absolutely recommend this book if you're into suspense, thriller, or horror novels. This will absolutely be a perfect read!
