Historia
Bryan Pierce is an internationally famous artist whose paintings have dazzled the world. But there's a secret to his success: Every canvas is inspired by an unusually vivid dream. When Bryan wakes, he possesses extraordinary new skills - like the ability to speak obscure languages and an inexplicable genius for chess. All his life he has wondered if his dreams are recollections, if he is reexperiencing other people's lives.

And again, Gwendolyn has delivered a showstopper.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this author. I absolutely adore her work. I love that it works my brain a little bit while still being easy to follow once you get into the feel of the approach to storytelling. I love that this author is taking reality-based grand mysteries of the Earth and using her imagination (or honestly maybe it's not imagin, but will we ever know) to spin an enriching and invigorating story that will grab you by the throat shortly in, take you on a magnificent journey, and drop you off at the other end both satisfied and largely contemplative. I cannot describe how heartbroken I was to find out that I had come to the end of her entire collection currently, and I'm deeply hoping that she continues to put out masterpieces such as the three she has already written.
The performer has a comforting voice that is easy to listen to over long periods of time, however a Siri mildly annoying tone on the main female antagonist. however the slight blip is easy to look over as the story grips you from the get-go, and it's just the flavor that the narrator put on that one voice.
A giant thank you to Gwendolyn for gracing my library with this treasure. I truly hope that there are more to come.

Julian Jessop, an eccentric, lonely artist and septuagenarian believes that most people aren’t really honest with each other. But what if they were? And so he writes—in a plain, green journal—the truth about his own life and leaves it in his local café. It’s run by the incredibly tidy and efficient Monica, who furtively adds her own entry and leaves the book in the wine bar across the street. Before long, the others who find the green notebook add the truths about their own deepest selves - and soon find each other In Real Life at Monica’s Café.

Historia
It’s officially booty o’clock, I’m alone again in my kitchen choking down a slice of terrible chocolate cake…and I’m pretty sure I just got drunk texted by the man I have a ginormous crush on. I’ve been daydreaming about Eliot Hoffman’s dimples for two months, and even though I’m sure this was a mistake on his end, it doesn’t mean it’s not an opportunity on mine. It’s the middle of the night, and I just wanna talk to him. So I text him back.

Cute story and love the unique delivery

It's apparent that this was written specifically to be an audiobook. The intricate sprinklings of background noise and sound effects make the story very submersive in a unique way. Was really fun to listen to.

Historia
Multiverse travel is finally possible, but there’s just one catch: No one can visit a world where their counterpart is still alive. Enter Cara, whose parallel selves happen to be exceptionally good at dying—from disease, turf wars, or vendettas they couldn’t outrun. Cara’s life has been cut short on 372 worlds in total. On this dystopian Earth, however, Cara has survived. Identified as an outlier and therefore a perfect candidate for multiverse travel, Cara is plucked from the dirt of the wastelands.

I'm so glad that I plucked this title out of the two for one sale a while back. It does start off a little rough and slow from my point of view; but once the first bomb drops, It reels you in and keeps you there till the very end.
Beautifully constructed, And seamlessly delivered by the narrator. I really enjoyed her voice, and flair.

Historia
One conversation can change everything. Meg has her entire life set up perfectly: She and her best friend, Emily, plan to head to Cornell together in the fall, and she works at a voter registration call center in her Philadelphia suburb. But everything changes when one of those calls connects her to a stranger from small-town Ohio.

A little hyper angsty but has some VERY good vocab usage. Heard words in this book that I hadn't heard in ages since school vocab lists. w
It was nice to exercise my brain in that way.
I love both narrators voices and they are both very easy to blend in with the story, no annoying attributes.
There were some less common life messages in the story that were a nice step aside for this genre of book. So that was nice too.
Easy to keep listening to and it is a good one to keep you interested while not DEMANDING your time.
Thank you to the author.

Historia
I found the journal at work. Well, I don't know if you'd call it work, but that's where I found it. It's the lost journal of Nikola Tesla, one of the greatest inventors and visionaries ever. Before he died in 1943, he kept a notebook filled with spectacular claims and outrageous plans.

Surprisingly engaging and fast-paced
Revisado: 07-03-21
Wow, let me say my initial interest was mostly based on the fact that I really do love Nikola Tesla's work and even named pet after him. I wasn't necessarily expecting to love the book but thought it could be a fun little shakeup of my normal type of listening. This book grabbed me by the throat and grilled me nearly immediately, and left me at the end feeling invigorated and fulfilled. The setup of the writing takes a minute to get used to with it being transcript type monologue for the most part, but the uniqueness of it really helps give the book its flavor and is appreciated after not too long.
Thank you to the author for blessing this world with such creativity ❤️
