Excellent!
Revisado: 07-03-17
If you could sum up Sister Mine in three words, what would they be?
Complex, gripping, poignant
What did you like best about this story?
I liked how the main character never pitied herself. She had every reason to and every reason to cast blame on lots of other people for the things that happened to her but she didn't. She was very interesting and unique.
Which character – as performed by Renee Raudman – was your favorite?
The main character
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Both. The way this book exposes the dynamics between the characters is pretty incisive and amazing.
Any additional comments?
Excellent, excellent book. Extremely well-written.

One of the Best Books I've Ever Read/Listened to
Revisado: 07-03-17
Would you listen to The Husband's Secret again? Why?
Yes. There was so much to unpack in this book. So many epic moments to relive.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Probably Celia because she transformed the most. Also because she is one of those people who not only adapts to whatever life throws at her but she becomes an expert in whatever new reality is thrust on her.
What about Caroline Lee’s performance did you like?
It was exactly right--not too slow, not too fast, never difficult to understand. Perfect.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Too many to count. But the last chapter of the book where all kinds of crazy stuff that might have happened are revealed left me literally in tears.
Any additional comments?
This book is so good it's life-changing.

Their secrets would be buried, bound in blood. Years later a headmistress is found brutally strangled, the first in a spate of gruesome murders that shock the Black Country.

Revisado: 07-03-17
What did you love best about Silent Scream?
The main character and how twisty the plot was. I couldn't figure out what was coming. I read and listen to a ton of crime novels so it is always refreshing if I can find a book where I can't figure things out right away.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Kim Stone. She is AMAZING. I like how tightly controlled she is yet sympathetic and so driven.
What does Jan Cramer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She makes you feel like you're right in the room with the characters. Well done!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Just extreme love for Kim Stone. I would follow her anywhere.
