This book was amazing. It’s one that you will listen to more than once. It’s written in very easy to understand terms and the processes described in this book are for anyone in any circumstance. I very much recommend it if you are an over-thinker and suffer with anxiety. I also love it that you can print resources that go along with the book!

A Magnificent Writer 💜

Lisa Jewell has quickly become a favorite read for me. Her stories are consistently rich as her incredible mind unfolds through the words. This audiobook is well read. Helen Duff is the perfect narrator for Lisa Jewells’ books. No hesitation in giving 5 stars all the way around.

Kept hoping it would get better

I tried so hard to fall in love with this book. I guess, for the genre it was written in, it’s passable but there were several inconsistencies in timing of events, phrases were repetitive, the characters were 2 dimensional... I listened to the whole thing to see how it all ended but, if this is a true sample of this authors books, I won’t listen/read any more of them. Sorry... I hate to leave bad reviews but it was a laborious read.

I can’t wait for the third book in this trilogy. I could not put it down from the moment I picked it up. I think this one was even better than the first one, Children of Blood and Bone.

BEAUTIFULLY INTENSE

I very much enjoyed this book. I purchased the second one when the last chapter started. When you listen to it listen, too, to the authors note. There is a brief monologue as to her inspiration for writing this (what is to be a trilogy) book. There is so much tragedy, pain, heartache and loss in our world today. FAR TOO MANY innocent perish at the hand of fear and hatred. ALL LIVES MATTER. Find your power in this inspired novel to be a better human sharing a globe of a symphonic cacophony of beautiful souls. It’s a GREAT book and I can’t wait to jump in to the sequel.

I’m not yet through the whole book but yeah... the narrator has obliterated so many beloved characters. It’s obvious she didn’t listen to the previous trilogy. The character Miriam sounds like a 3 pk a day smoker. Diana sounds like she’s on her way there, as well. It’s such a shame. I love Harkness’ writing and I don’t have many qualms with the story but it’s a true damn shame that this narrator couldn’t have studied the character voices from the trilogy. PLEASE, DEBORAH HARKNESS, do not allow this narrator to do any future books.
