there were a few things that I thought could have been better. there was a lot of repetition but I guess that has to happen. most readers start from the first book if they know it's a series. I really loved the synopsis in the last book, I like things being closed. I also loved the surprises. a great read overall

Historia
On March 25, 1942, nearly a thousand young, unmarried Jewish women boarded a train in Poprad, Slovakia. Filled with a sense of adventure and national pride, they left their parents' homes wearing their best clothes and confidently waving good-bye. Believing they were going to work in a factory for a few months, they were eager to report for government service. Instead, the young women - many of them teenagers - were sent to Auschwitz. Their government paid 500 Reich Marks (about $200) apiece for Nazis to take them as slave labor. Of those 999 innocent deportees, only a few survived.

I have always been interested in this subject and horrified by what happened to all the Jews. I had never heard about the young all women transport before. I really was impressed with Suzanne Torens reading. Her pronunciations were superb.

this book when way to fast. I'm sad now I'm done. the Goddess Gabaldon did an amazing job as always. Her writing is so detailed and descriptive that she puts me there every time. Jamie and Claire are such a great story and characters on their own but she has so many detailed characters and does them all justice. This is the first audio book of hers I've listened to I read the others and Davina Porter was a joy to listen to. Well done again Diana Gabaldon

Having entertained the idea for years, and even offered a few questionable opportunities ("It's a piece of cake! Just do four hours of interviews, find someone else to write it, put your face on the cover, and voila!") I have decided to tell these stories just as I have always done, in my own voice.

awesome

I loved everything about this book. the stories were, funny or sad but always full of emotion. Dave is a world class story teller and made me laugh out loud, cry or cringe with his descriptiveness. I would recommend this book to anyone. Even if not a rock and roll person or not. Boy moms would love this as well. His love for his mother is evident in every word.
