I was pulled in at the first moment I started reading! The characters are interesting and the relentless enemy is worthy of destroying! The interpersonal by play keeps the story interesting while the action grabbed me and never let go!

An excellent start on a virtual D&D world!

I like the details that we discover about Abby and how she thought she was one type of person but turned out to be another type altogether. I also enjoyed the personal secrets that NPCs like Otto or the waitresses at the inn keep to themselves. Finally I really like the cliffhangers we have at the end!

I enjoyed this book because the hero exhibited human failings. First he was not a brain trust. He was awkward with people even returning a minor to an abusing relative! Second he suffered from cross purposes weather to follow his mission to destroy blood suckers or to follow his heart. I found him to be very relatable and his story extremely enjoyable!
