What a wonderful book about a wonderful dog!

I loved this audiobook!
I'm reminded of our own Golden girl, Sasha, whom we mercifully helped through the same gate Trixie went through a few years back. She wasn't trained like Trixie was, but she was just as bright, loving, fun, and friendly as Trixie was. Dogs like Trixie and Sasha are just furry blobs of unconditional love, given to us by God. Well, all dogs are, but there's something about Goldens that plants that belief in concrete.
Anyhow, the book was beautifully written, a touching, funny tribute to a beautiful dog, and others like her. Thank you for this gift of a book!

Most children go through a dinosaur phase. Learning all the tongue-twisting names, picking favourites based on ferocity, armour, or sheer size. For many kids this love of ‘terrible lizards’ fizzles out at some point between starting and leaving primary school. All those fancy names slowly forgotten, no longer any need for a favourite. For all those child dino fanatics who didn’t grow up to become paleontologists, dinosaurs seem like something out of mythology. They are dragons, pictures in books, abstract, other, extinct.

Wow! Excellent book on getting over one's fear!

I loved this book! It lays out all that you have to do to get over your fear starting out in reaching to people in your MLM business, and more importantly, your fear of rejection, which is why many are afraid to reach out to prospects in the first place. I may or may not do well, but it won't be for lack of trying, which I will be able to do after having read this book. Thanks!

Without John C. Houbolt, a mid-level engineer at NASA, Apollo 11 would never have made it to the moon. Top NASA engineers on the project, including Werner Von Braun, strongly advocated for a single, huge spacecraft to travel to the moon, land, and return to Earth. It's the scenario used in 1950s cartoons and horror movies about traveling to outer space. Houbolt had another idea: Lunar Orbit Rendezvous. LOR would link two spacecraft in orbit while the crafts were travelling at 3,600 miles an hour around the moon. His plan was ridiculed and considered unthinkable.

David vs. Goliath, of sorts.

Loved it. Infuriating how egos everywhere try to tear down a guy trying to do the right thing for the right reasons, and after his way goes through, "Oh, we were all for it from the start" Very interesting view on what the public didn't see behind the NASA door.

I'll admit; I listened through the whole thing, waiting for something funny to slap me. Deeply disappointed. It's like someone in the fifth grade tried to write something funny and silly, and they just tried too hard, because they weren't sure what constituted funny. I like Patrick Stewart, but even he fell short in this mess.
