Historia
In the realm of Isodoro, just two things stand between Alliance lands and the spears and muskets of the orcish hordes: the wizards of the Order and constant infighting amongst the orcs themselves. In the Alliance capital, young Wit has just been promoted from apprentice to full wizard - and saddled with the very unglamorous task of traveling to a distant iron mine to inspect it for fraud. Worse yet, he's partnered with Wa'llach, a drunken dwarven prisoner who's killed more people than most plagues. Yet those skills are about to become very handy.

A well written story with only minor issues
Revisado: 07-25-21
Firstly, Micheal Kramer is incredible as always.
The book itself was also really beautifully written, but I do have one complaint about it. the perspectives got very confusing at times, especially when the power was used to see memories. it was very easy to get turned around in those parts and lose track of who the viewpoint character was, when they were, and what was going on in that specific when.
The memory that the adepts all shared about their companion was the perfect example of this.
Otherwise, the story was compelling and the characters were all very three dimensional and felt quite real. I loved it and would recommend it to anyone who likes fantasy

Historia
For eons, conquering dungeons has been the most efficient way to become a strong adventurer. Although not everything is as straightforward as it seems. Several questions have always plagued the minds of those who enter these mythical places of power: why are there so many monsters? Where do the amazing weaponry and heavy gold coins come from? Why does the very air fill with life-giving energies? Cal has all of the answers to these age-old questions, for a very simple reason. He is a Dungeon Heart.

A strange concept, executed pretty well
Revisado: 10-28-17
This book follows the lives of 2 characters. Cal, a living dungeon who is helped by his attached friend Danny, and Dale, the guy who owns the property Cal is on.
While I could see the Dale parts being enjoyable to a wide array of people, Cal I am not sure will be everyone's cup of tea. However, as someone who loves RPGs and the idea of owning a business or watching an economy grow Cal is easily my favorite parts of the book. Little shenanigans, lots of death and fun things going on.
