The New York Times best-selling novel from Garth Stein - a heart-wrenching but deeply funny and ultimately uplifting story of family, love, loyalty, and hope - a captivating look at the wonders and absurdities of human life...as only a dog could tell it.

Too absorbing
Revisado: 01-23-11
I loved this book. As narrator, the dog does a great job. And it's only gets in the way at first, Then you get used to it. I was completely taken by the book. It's a book about a family, and uses car racing as a metaphor on life. A funny thing happened while I was driving. I missed two, not one but two exits on the interstate while on a business trip. It was worth it! I got to listen even longer that morning. I recommend this. Read it to find out why "your car goes where your eyes go."

Too much ranting
Revisado: 04-16-10
I enjoyed the book somewhat. But there was too much ranting against just about everything. For example it felt like a third of the book was against nuclear power and nuclear proliferation. He makes some good points, but too many over and over again.
