Lovely story, but wish I someone had told me...

Yes, lovely story which I really enjoyed, but the ending, whoa. Wish someone had told me that this novel hadn't been finished and to only expect the editor's follow up in lieu of the last chapter. The story does get finished, however it was not at all given as I had expected. Had I known, it would not have stopped me from reading it, (nor should it stop you!) but I wish I would've been expecting the editor in the end. Hope this helps someone else to be more prepared than I was!

Delightful Reading of Trollope

I read this as Julian Fellows so lauded the work of Mr. Trollope and I loved the Fellows feature "Dr. Thorne." However, this book was a snoozer and never delivered much dynamic either in plot or character development. I literally fell asleep probably a dozen times and had to rewind to find my place. I kept thinking something interesting would happen, but it never did. Narration was excellent though.
