I feel a little bit confused.. first this read a lot like the first book I read from her Lick. Same kind of dynamic same dialogue. It was just very familiar and although I really enjoyed that book, this one didn’t have the same appeal. I also don’t really understand what anybody looks like or characteristics about anybody but what weirdly did stand out to me is every time a character did something goofy she emphasized that it was always a white male, which is kind of weird. I didn’t understand why she had to emphasize that it kept pulling me out of the book. I did like Riley her character was fine surprisingly Ava was the best character. This book just felt a little bit sloppy and like it was written in protest like the author wasn’t into it she wrote it because she had to. Anyway, it’s not too dissimilar from her other books that you won’t enjoy it. I just found it a little bit too similar to her other books where I didn’t really understand why it’s even written or the need to read it. I’d personally skip, but that’s just me.

I really enjoyed the dynamic between the sisters

I kind of just don’t understand the whole point of the book. Nothing really happened and it certainly wasn’t good enough to continue the series. I will say, though that I really enjoyed the narrator of the story she was really good.

This series is so underrated! I genuinely wish more people gave it a chance. The cover kinda throws everything off it just doesn’t do the book/series justice.

Emily

This book would have been worth the read if Emily would have been hit by a car in the end and Tanner and the baby lived happily ever after. That’s how horrible Emily is. She’s mean and manipulative. Why would anyone write a heroine like Emily is beyond me. The Author didn’t write a strong female lead she wrote a weak child throwing tantrum after tantrum. Seriously skip this book.

As much as I enjoy this book I’m so glad I read it before I tried listening to it... The female narrator is SO BAD! I kept laughing at no laughing matters... No way would I have been able to finish this book if I listened to it first.

I liked exactly 0 things about this book. It was all over the place with too many povs and I usually really like the narrator Kate Russell but even she fell flat for me in this series. I feel kinda cheated out of the ending of the series.

Annoying narrator

The narrator managed to make one of my favorite books into a hot mess! She has a nice enough voice but she pauses between every word... it's so annoying and you can't get an actual feel on how she's supposed to be feeling. It's all the same tone no matter the situation.
