Historia
Water fasting or fasting in general has been around for thousands of years. Fasting is not about starving oneself. When done right, it's an incredibly effective therapeutic approach that produces amazing results regardless of diet plan. Imagine a few weeks from now burning off more fat than you ever have, and easier than you ever have. Imagine having more energy and looking better than ever before - without going through all of the strain and stress of a typical diet or caloric restriction program.

several points of inaccurate and dangerous advice
Revisado: 05-31-20
Among several other atrocities in just the first few chapters, including that you do not every break a fast with milk as suggested, I found this book to be teeming with incorrect, outdated and potentially dangerous information. Not to mention that I was advised to "check with my doctor" approximately 58 times within the first hours play. There are better resources out there. I do not recommend this book. narrator is great despite the misinformation though.

Took a very long time to get to the point. There was way too much filler and not enough topic. Not a fan. Thanks.

short and sweet info on veganism
Revisado: 04-07-16
i liked this. i think the authors tone of voice was a bit too "attitudy" and she sort off seemed like she herself was a bit high nosed. But the book was awesome. just feel the author wasn't right. this is a nice book to refer non vegans to who would like to know more about veganism and a brief introduction to the many various facets of being and becoming vegan.

Historia
Alex Verus is part of a world hidden in plain sight, running a magic shop in London. And while Alex's own powers aren't as showy as some mages, he does have the advantage of foreseeing the possible future-allowing him to pull off operations that have a million-to-one-chance of success. But when Alex is approached by multiple factions to crack open a relic from a long-ago mage war, he knows that whatever's inside must be beyond powerful.

Abit too cliche, some lines difficult to follow.
Revisado: 04-20-15
i felt like this book was not written as well add is like. the main character was not clearly defined, the narrators voice kept changing and at times it was difficult to follow. I'm disappointed. i love the idea of this book and i even appreciate that a reference was made to Harry Dresden at the beginning. i felt Luna was a bit too sparatic with her curse thing and she sounded too whiney and unrealistically childish or maybe just not believable. i can't quite put my finger on it but I'm not going to be purchases anymore books by this author. i think I was spoiled rotten by Jim Butcher's writing style.

Historia
At the end of her best-selling memoir Eat, Pray, Love, Elizabeth Gilbert fell in love with Felipe, a Brazilian-born man of Australian citizenship who'd been living in Indonesia when they met. Resettling in America, the couple swore eternal fidelity to each other, but also swore to never, ever, under any circumstances get legally married. But providence intervened one day in the form of the United States government....

Very in depth look at many facets of mariage
Revisado: 03-08-14
What did you love best about Committed?
The narrator and author are one and the same and I LOVE that. I love her style of writing and her explanations are so educated and well researched and she speaks to me because I can relate to her desires and needs.
Any additional comments?
It was a lot more educational than the first book, Eat, Pray, Love. That was also educational in many ways but it was intertwined around a much broader storyline. This book, even though a continuation of that same story, lacked a lot of the story telling elements which I had hoped would continue on. Still, a brilliant read and really spoke to me since I am a girlfriend to a man I would jump at the chance to marry. It really gives you a very multi-facetted insight at marriage and how it is viewed across different cultures and through different people’s eyes. Stirring. A great author with a gift for interpreting difficult things in a simple and sane manner without the over-use of long, difficult words.
