The author certainly covered a lot of territory, and addressed many areas that may be of use to those interested in this subject. I am currently on a tear and have read multiple books on the subject, and I just have not found this one to be impactful or inspiring, nor have I found the information to be that useful, that could be because I read other books on the subject already, but I don’t know, I can’t describe it. I just found this one a little dull unfortunately and I didn’t finish it.

Alan always includes a lot of helpful ideas and strategies and provides new ways to look at the industry. There will be some overlap if you've read his other books, but there was still plenty enough new information to keep it fresh. Yes, he's brusk and direct, but I don't think it negates all that he's said here. I would recommend this book and plan on reading it again myself.

This book did a lot to broaden my perspective and inspire me in my business planning. It was relatable and well-written and the author narrated it well. Even after reading a number of other books on the same topic, I was still able to find this one informative.

From a predominately European perspective, the author covers all kinds of interesting facts and details about the lives of trees. He does a good job of painting a picture of a thriving undercurrent of activity and intention that exists beneath the surface of what looks like a silent, inanimate forest of greenery. He discusses eating, arboreal relationships, communication, interaction with the human and animal kingdoms, and more.

The narrator is also very a good. An oder British gentleman who gives the book a warm, storybook feel.

The author tells good stories and effectively outlines key points to his framing strategy. I found many of his tips and warnings to be useful and worthwhile. I've listened to this book twice and appreciated it both times and can recommend it for people interested in presenting and negotiating.

This book definitely had some good information and isn’t a bad place to start when learning about all these issues. He covers the basics of monetization, analytics, online marketing etc. along with how to think about things as you go on your YouTube journey.

This was a very good book with several interesting facts and ideas about breathing. Not only does the author make his cases well, he inspires the reader to implement this simple, natural life hack. He really ties it together in the end by having a professional provide examples of how to do the most important exercises. I recommend this book and would read it again.

This book really gives one thought about gender roles and the masculine and the feminine and how to keep a relationship balanced. The author identified a lot of familiar issues and proposed new and useful ways of thinking about them. This is a book I will definitely read again.

Just to be complete though… He also discusses the prospect of having affairs with a reprehensible casualness.

The book details the very trying and strenuous efforts of Dave Goggins as he works through Navy Seals training, Delta Force training, Ultra marathoning, world record setting, and more.

From the trials of his childhood to the pinnacle of his athletic struggles, the book is loaded with viscerally graphic descriptions of all he went through. At a certain point in the book I found myself tiring of the exhaustive descriptions of his myriad trials. But in the end, I found the story to be interesting and remarkable. He gave good inspiration and insight on persevering and really expanded my understanding and expectation of human capabilities. There are a lot of worthwhile ideas in here.

I will say that I was somewhat mixed about how someone who strives to be so "uncommon" and undefeatable in his athletic endeavors would allow himself to be so common and incapable of leading his family and keeping his multiple marriages intact. Your wife and kids should be a more important challenge than a race in the desert. It was disappointing to me that someone so driven to be extraordinary would divorce four or whoever many times. His kid isn't even mentioned in his life story after birth. This kept ringing in the back of my head as he was describing how "uncommon" he is in his focus and dedication to his goals. Divorcing multiple times is a very common special forces accomplishment.

Having said that, the book wasn't about family or manhood (primarily). And what he DID set out to discuss was discussed effectively. So I've given high ratings because of that. It really was a good book and the story was well told. Furthermore, I still do have some degree of respect for what David Goggins DID accomplish.

Full Disclosure: I’m a middle aged male.

This was clearly written from the perspective of a woman for women. That’s wasn’t that much of an issue aside from the awkwardness of this bashful, feeble consent-crazy hot playboy.

I was also slightly put off by the fact that it seemed tou unnecessarily and awkwardly profane and sexual. The story felt like it was going to start wholesome and cute and I just wasn’t expecting that sailorish erotic turn.

My main issue was that the story just wasn’t that compelling or interesting to me and the conclusion was visible from a mile away.
