What made the experience of listening to Eternal Illusion the most enjoyable?

Eternal Illusion is the third book in the Eternal Island series. The characters we love are all back and we get to finally meet Rainey's family in this new installation. An evil we got a glimpse at from book 2, Eternal Immortality, is now on the island and no one is safe, not even the alflights. As with the other books in this series the story line is strong, entertaining, and on your toes exciting. This book gives readers the chance to meet new characters, see older characters grow and continue to develop. I have no secrets when it comes to my favorite characters in this series, Will and Becky. My favorite part of this book is when Becky finally starts to become the bad ass I always new she would. However, the entire book is so good I would be lying if I said there was only one favorite part in this book.

Any additional comments?

Overall this series continues to get better and this book is another perfect example of the fantastic writing skills of K.S. Haigwood and Ella Medler. While writing this review, I read parts of the book again and I had to force my self to stop just to write this review. It is a paranormal gem and one I'll be reading over and over again.

What did you love best about Andromeda's Reign?

This book picks up where book 1, Midnight Moonrising, left off with Ace and Mena now in Las Vegas. Ace has realized this bond between he and Mena is more than just a joining, it’s a completion of one soul with another. Literally one cannot live without the other. If even 8 hours goes by they will fall ill and eventually die if kept apart. Not to mention they now share emotions which is very hard since Mena is still heart broken over leaving Phoenix behind with her pack.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Mena’s character shows dramatic growth in this book. I will be the first to tell you she is the most forgotten Alpha in this group of characters. She is so busy crying over Phoenix and confused about her relationship with Ace she seems to forget it herself at times. She’s not the only one blinded by the relationship triangle. Ace is so worried about losing her he will do anything to not tell her about his past or the danger she, the packs and he are in. Phoenix is so desperate to get his love back and break the bond, he loses sight of what is actually best for Mena. However, as I said, Mena grows in this book and by the end every single person will know exactly whose “Reign” it is.

Any additional comments?

Now it would be remiss of me to not mention the division that has occurred over these books. Friends, fans, readers and strangers alike are now choosing sides. This love triangle between Phoenix, Mena and Ace has divided many of Moonrising fans. By the end of this book you may like several of the characters, you may even love some that are suddenly KILLED off (this is a Haigwood style of writing). However, you will come away from this book as either a #TeamPhoenix or a #TeamAce fan. In fact, let me know in the comments section which you are!! This book is going to break your heart regardless of which team you select. It’s impossible to not have your heart hurting while reading this book. The love Mena has for Phoenix is challenged by the new mating bond she has with Ace. There is nothing but heartbreak written all over this. If the bond can be broken by Phoenix Ace will lose his one true love. If it can’t be, will Phoenix, who has never been in love before, survive the loss of his Mena? You’ll have to read and find out for yourself.

If you could sum up It Ends with Us in three words, what would they be?

This story is about a woman coming to terms with her childhood and eventual adulthood. The main character, Lily, has run from so much in her life and worked so hard to become the person she always knew she would. However, as with us all, she finds herself in a situation she swore she would never be in. This is why the characters are so good in this book, because we can all relate.

What did you like best about this story?

This was a very emotional subject and it was dealt with such care and thoughtfulness it was the entire essence of the book. Colleen did throw big twists or sudden plots. Instead this was a well developed storyline that just unfolded. Perfectly unfolded for us to follow along.

Which scene was your favorite?

I can't say that there was only one scene that was my favorite. I can say that at some points I literally held my hand over my mouth in disbelief, I stopped to listen to certain part again for clarity, and other times I just shook my head either in happiness or stunned silence.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were several parts in this book that just angered me. It made me want to shake Lily and scream "why don't you see what I see" or "why can't you see what's going to happen". Yes the book at some parts became predictable to me but in the end that was the very idea behind Colleen's writing. The idea that everyone can see things from the outside of a relationship and make their own judgements. But in the end, it is the couple that is actually in the relationship that matter. Until you have walked in their shoes you cannot judge what they are feeling or understand what they are doing.

Any additional comments?

The audio of this book was outstanding. I usually read the book first then listen to the audio but in this case I am so glad I did listened to it first. Olivia Song was amazing. She captured the characters and maintained them through out. She was an exceptional choice for this book.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes the story line is exciting and fresh. There is plenty of drama and unpredictability you will keep guessing what will happen next. I wanted it to hurry up because I wanted the whole story but I didn't want it to end either.

What did you like best about this story?

The character development was the best part about this story. There are so many characters that, by the end, become your friends. There is not an over abundance of information but enough to know who is who in the book.

What does Pyper Down bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I read the book before trying the audio and for me Pyper brought these characters to life. There was plenty of drama but with the words being spoken you can close your eyes and feel the excitement.

What made the experience of listening to Good Side of Sin (Save My Soul) the most enjoyable?

I had already read this book and when the audio came out I couldn't wait to hear it. I am not disappointed. The timing, voices and narrator are absolutely fantastic. I love when a narrator can so perfectly capture the voices in my head from when I read a book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Good Side of Sin (Save My Soul)?

The most memorable moment for me was when Jossyln was saying goodbye to Thoros forever. I was torn by the emotion from both the words in the book and then by Pyper Down's voicing of those words.

What about Pyper Down’s performance did you like?

Pyper Down was able to make the men sound like men. I have heard several audio books that have where the performance is very good in one gender or the other. This was a fantastic demonstration of both genders being made to sound as they should.

Any additional comments?

The books written by K.S. Haigwood are unpredictable and I find that they are unique paranormal stories that are not overdone or found in every other book. Great story and amazing audio to accompany.

Would you listen to Hell's Gift again? Why?

Yes I will continue to listen to this audiobook again. I love this story and the voice of Troy Duran is amazing. The story just flowed, from the story line to the voices coming together.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Abigail was my favorite character in this story. In Save My Soul, the first book in this series, my favorite character was Rhyan but Abigail won me over. I still love Rhyan but Abigail literally went through hell in her life for mistakes she made. She held herself responsible for her decisions.

What does Troy Duran bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The voices Troy uses are so clear and complete in that there is no misunderstanding who is speaking at any given time. The voice he uses for Lucifer actually gave me goosebumps, it was so unnerving. Inner thoughts are very clear and there is no misunderstanding if there is a break or change in characters.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Would you travel to Hell to bring back the love you didn't know existed?

Any additional comments?

This was a fantastic book and owning the audiobook is a wonderful addition. This will be an audiobook I will listen to again and again. I highly recommend this book, series and audiobook. I will look for both author K.S. Haigwood and narrator Troy Duran.

Would you consider the audio edition of Eternal Island to be better than the print version?

To have an audio version of a book you already love can be scary to listen to because you don't want it to not be great. This one is great and it just enhanced my experience with this book. It's like getting a movie made of your favorite book, only the actors are the very ones you thought they would be, and no one has cut the book up so much you don't recognize it. It's the entire book being told to you and you get to experience all the feelings you read it the first time. I just closed my eyes and got swept away.

What did you like best about this story?

This story is beautiful because it is crazy exciting, loving, heartbreaking, and full of emotion. Never are you certain what will happen or how it will happen. The characters are strong and just make each other better. The story behind each character will just suck you in and make you want more.

Which scene was your favorite?

There were so many scenes I loved and each time I think about them they bring back the emotions I had when I first read it. I think my favorite part is the initial pond scene when Abe jumps in fully clothed. It was a point in the book where a reader can tell he has really changed and everything is now about his love for Ariana, not just about work or taking care of everyone else.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I almost made it also but had to sleep. I did listen through lunch and dinner though. The voices of the characters were pleasant and entertaining. It was easy to distinguish between them with no confusion of who was speaking.

Any additional comments?

Haigwood and Medler did an exceptional job developing a story line that will keep you interested in these characters to the very end...and beyond. In fact, I'm off to the next book Eternal Immortality. Try this wonderful story of witches, vampires, humans, tigers, and lions, but no bears.

Where does Save My Soul rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I think this is one of the best audio books I have listened to thus far. A problem I find with audio books is distinguishing between the character speaking and their inner thoughts. That was NOT a problem with this audio book. The voices were amazing and distinguishable. It was obvious when different people spoke, had inner thoughts, or conversations. I did hear the intake of breaths quite frequently during the read however toward the middle of the book, those intakes actually punctuated the excitement of the story. In the end, it was not a problem.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Save My Soul?

The start of the book is what had me hooked in this book. It starts with an exciting hospital scene and Erin Mallon's voice just pulled me in. There is an other scene, just as desperate that is read very well, but I do not want to give any part of the story away so I'll leave it at that.

Have you listened to any of Erin Mallon’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

N/A

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes it was. I wasn't able to do that because of my schedule but I listened in my car, during lunch and then again while doing house work. It was fantastic.

Any additional comments?

This was a great audio book. I am not a great fan of this types of books and am extremely happy with this one. It makes me think I would want more of my books to have the audio companion. Great work.

Would you consider the audio edition of A Righteous Kill to be better than the print version?

I personally prefer reading the books to listening to the audio. When the characters are properly developed, as they are in this story, their voices come alive when I read. I felt the audio was great changing between characters but I sometimes got lost between what was actually being said out loud or what was being thought by the character.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Righteous Kill?

The most memorable point in the book is at Hero's art show. At this point, several characters are possible suspects, Hero is surrounded by them and as a reader I realized how scared she must be at that moment. Because of the story line, probably also in Hero's mind, even those possible suspects standing around her may not be the only suspects. In actuality at that very point anyone could be the killer and it was awesome as a reader to not even have a clue at that point. I had a suspicion but that kept changing also.

What about Derek Perkins’s performance did you like?

I enjoyed Mr. Perkins' voice. It was rhythmical, fluctuated when necessary and had several different accents to use with characters. The women's voices, which I can't imagine being easy for men to do, were a bit breathy but still good.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The book was just outstanding. Never really having a firm suspect in my mind made this even better suspense. The clues keep you guessing the entire time. Not to mention the head strong hero and heroine. Constantly at each other and trying to keep each other on their toes. The dialogue was great between all the characters. So many of them intertwining in this book was great to see. Possible second, third and forth books to come I hope....

Any additional comments?

I purchased a copy of this ebook on my own. I was given a copy of the audio book on audible.com from the author in exchange for my honest review.
