Difficult to follow…
Revisado: 01-03-25
My least favorite book in the series. The concepts tackled in this book were very weighty. This is NOT a book for beginning traders. Funny thing is, I am far from a novice trader, and still found it hard to conceptualize what was being said during most of the interviews in the book. The trading concepts these “hedge fund” wizards employ are either too advanced, or their inability to explain them in simple terms left me stumped. Most of what the interviewees were saying simply went over my head (and again, I’ve been a successful trader now for some time). I will have to re-read the book, I guess, perhaps give it a second chance. But for a majority of the book, I simply found myself waiting until the interviews were over, for Jack’s more plainspoken summary of what said interviews entailed. Maybe I’m not as smart as I thought I was. LOL. Beginner traders? Stay away from this one. Having said that, all of the other books in the “market wizards” series are phenomenal.

Historia
When Victor is called to meet with an old friend who ultimately betrayed him, what he thought was an ambush is in fact a plea for help. As a Russian gangster, Norimov is accustomed to death threats, but now an unknown enemy wants more than his life. They intend to kill everyone he cares about, including his missing daughter Gisele. This time, Victor's job is not to kill but to protect. Unfortunately, locating Gisele is his first mistake - because someone is watching his every move.

Excellent!
Revisado: 08-29-22
Tom Wood knocks it out of the park again! No Tomorrow—like all of Woods‘ books—possesses a well-paced and engaging plot, fleshed-out characters, and enough suspense/thrill to drive a reader wild with anticipation, from the first page, till the very last! Can’t wait to read the next book in the Victor The Assassin series!

Forget James Bound, or even Ludlum’s Jason Bourne. Victor is the ultimate assassin.
Revisado: 08-01-22
What sets Tom Wood’s writing apart from any other writer in the genre is his flawless combination of detailed analysis, pace, and—perhaps, most important—believable characters and plots. How any other writers in the genre have gotten their books optioned and filmed by Hollywood studios before Wood’s Victor series is an absolute mystery to me. The Game is as good as they come. Just better. You will not be able to put this book down! Hail to Tom Wood, the best architect in the field of assassin thrillers.

Incendiary!
Revisado: 05-27-22
May very well be the best spy/assassin thriller ever written. May seem sacrilegious for me to say this, but Robert Ludlum’s Bourne Identity can’t compare to Wood’s The Killer. The Killer grabs you, hooks you, and doesn’t let you go until the very last period. Unlike the first Bourne novel, which, although a classic, tended to stymy and dodder in certain parts.
Can’t wait to read Victor volume 2!!!

Historia
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

One of the best books ever written, by one of the greatest living novelists!
Revisado: 07-24-21
Martin is a wordsmith. Plain and simple. His ability to suck the reader into a world filled with crossbows, swords, dungeons and dragons (not to mention Lords, Ladies, Princesses, Princes, and Kings and Queens) in a way that still renders these characters familiar to us (let’s be honest, we all know a Prince Joffrey in our lives), is absolutely amazing. I watched Game of Thrones on HBO, and loved everything about it (except for the last season), but after reading this novel (and as I get ready to read the other books in the series) I can already tell that the HBO rendition (as great as it was) did not do the novels complete justice (though, in book one, the HBO series came mightily close to doing so). Either way, I can safely say that after reading the first book in this series, Martin has probably become my favorite living novelist, at present. That’s how powerful—and well written—this tale is. I’m looking forward to reading the other books in the Game of Thrones saga. (I’d be remiss not to mention that Roy Dotrices’ performance as narrator is also spellbinding, and that is why I give this production five stars across-the-board).

Court Gentry is known as The Gray Man—a legend in the covert realm, moving silently from job to job, accomplishing the impossible, and then fading away. And he always hits his target. But there are forces more lethal than Gentry in the world. And in their eyes, Gentry has just outlived his usefulness. Now, he is going to prove that for him, there's no gray area between killing for a living-and killing to stay alive.

One of the greatest action novels of all time.
Revisado: 06-22-21
Story. Performance. Rating: 12 out of 10. The pace, the plot, the characters, were all fleshed out the highest degree. This is the Bourne Identity, but better. It will keep you hooked, from the first word to the last. I look forward to reading the other novels in the Gray Man series. Great job Greaney and supporting cast (editors, agents, publisher). My only question is: When is the movie coming out?!!!!
