Historia
New England, 2022. Three years ago, single mother Mallory Dunne received the telephone call every parent dreads—her ten-year-old son, Sam, had been airlifted from summer camp with acute poisoning from a toxic death cap mushroom, leaving him fighting for his life. Now, searching for the donor kidney that will give her son a chance for a normal life, Mallory’s forced to confront two harrowing secrets from her past: her mother’s adoption from an infamous Irish orphanage in 1952, and her own all-consuming summer romance fourteen years earlier with her childhood best friend, Monk Adams.

Williams strikes again!
Revisado: 07-16-24
I don’t know how she does it, but every time she releases a new book it’s my new favorite! I love how they tie back to the other books (if you’ve read them, then you’ll know, but not necessary if you haven’t)
I adored the back and forth between Hanna and Mallory’s stories continuing to build on both stories, finally ending with one story.
Her writing has such detail - and the way she spins it all out, you feel as though you are actually there, feeling the sea salt or the desert heat.
The characters in all her books take on these lives of their own - to the point where can’t think about anything else except what is going to happen next.
I would recommend reading this book to anyone!!

Roseanna must overcome the brutality of her incarceration, build new allies, grapple with old ones, and risk all that she has to save not only her own life but that of the man she loves. Meanwhile, her love, Daniel Alderman, believes Roseanna is safe in the 21st century, caring for her sick grandmother and preparing to return to him. Better than the first one!

I devoured this book! I absolutely loved the storyline. Roseanna is on another quest, and she is able to wrap up some of those loose ends that have been niggling at her for a very long time. Danny is on a different kind of quest, while waiting to see When or if Roseanna will return to him; he concentrates on the family’s needs.
I can’t wait to see what will be in store for their eternal love next!
