Disappointed unfortunately

I loved the first set of books with the silver wolf Sterling. Even the second set with Ronnie. Both mostly total badasses and not annoying but omg this series with Annie was so frustrating and hard to get thru. She was so annoying and so irritating in battles cause she’d just stand there and watch everyone as they are fighting her battles. All my with the writer repeating the storyline SOOOO many times. It’s like she did it to fill pages which is unfortunate and frustrating. I do not recommend this series but the others were much better.

Update: **Terrible news ending and the description of this book made it seem like the heroine was actually going to be badass and finally he’ll do something…ANYTHING! She has all these runes and powers but never not once used them to help anyone out or herself and always needed saving. Ugh so frustrating.*** I did love the first two books and loved the idea of this third book but am SOOOO done and frustrated with Kat (main character) being so dumb and all out mean and childish towards Blaine. ALL he has been is loyal and amazing to her but she is the complete opposite to her. And Reese doesn’t even come close to Blaine. Grrrr

I LOVE the beneath series. Each one got better and better which I didn’t think could happen. So listening to this story was sorely disappointing. I absolutely love Meghan March so hearing this story I swear I was listening to another author. The writing did not sound like Meghan and the characters I did not like. Most especially Bishop. He was definitely NOT the amazing alpha we have listened to throughout the entire Beneath series. It felt awkward and rushed let alone Bishops weird uncomfortable character. I could not finish listening to it because of his character.

One of the best books I’ve listened to in a while!

I love reading & listening to any Meghan March book. But these two main characters are one of my absolute favorites! Elle was a sassy spitfire and adored her humor!! And Lord…oh Lord lol such a sexy man. Last but not the very least at all….the icing on the cake for this listen was my two favorite narrators who can bring to life a book like NO other. Their voices are truly amazing and make you feel like you’re in it.

Good storyline but....

The main character was very annoying as she cried non stop about everything! It was so aggravating to listen to. Stories with female MC’s that are strong and smart are much more interesting to read about. I don’t want to picture myself or a main protagonist as such a weakling that she has to cry about everything.

I loved the first book Cake but this second book, The Theory of Second Best, was even MORE amazing than the first!!
Usually the book(s) that follow a great first novel aren’t as good as the first or are maybe just as good, but this one is my absolute favorite! It is over the top hilarious!! Which made this book stand out to me. I absolutely loved the banter of the main characters AND even the other characters as well!
The “Dork Squad” was the best!! ** You’re just going to have to listen to this audiobook to know what I mean... 😉
You will definitely enjoy this book full of it’s humor and charming characters. Just you wait and see!
If you don’t find it hilarious and truly enjoy the other characters like I did, then something is wrong with your definition of funny! Lol

Katy Evans is one of my favorite authors so her books are pretty much always an auto-delivery for me. 😊
I have loved all of her books & series...well, all except one. The President series. The first one in the series I enjoyed somewhat but the second book, Commander-in-Chief, was not one of my favorites at all. I was so bored from the start. And that is not a feeling I ever usually get with a book of Katy's. She is an amazing writer so I was shocked and disappointed with that series.
But after this book Tycoon, she has redeemed herself with me! 😉 I am totally excited for her NEW book coming out soon....RACER!!!!! It is part of the REAL series! Which is my FAVORITE by far!!! That series is my all time favorite series out of ANY series thus far! :)
So anyhow, I would definitely recommend this book if you are wanting an enjoyable fun-loving book with heart & soul.

Love her so so much!!! And this book did not disappoint!! It was such a fantastic, sexy and entertaining read!! And the narrators made it superb to listen to! They bring you in and make you feel like you are actually in the story, like as a friend of the main characters Kat & Dane!!
I absolutely Love, Love, LOVE both narrators: Zachary Webber & Andi Arndt!! They are actually my two favorite ones at Audible! I search for books that they narrate.
This read is a definite buy and worth the credit!! But Meghan March is always an auto buy for me! I haven't found NOT ONE book of hers that I have not liked! And that says a lot because it is hard for any author to always have a #1 hit book! :)
