Definitely DONT read this book 1st in the series!!!
Revisado: 10-03-24
I read it as the 4th book. I’m not sure if I would’ve even finished it and/or ever continued with the series if I’d read this first. If I was reading this as the 1st book then I would have HATED the first 10 out of 12 hrs of it. Reading it 4th in the series it was better bc the super boring first 10 hours at least gave me a lot of insight to characters I already knew. You definitely have to read this book for a deeper understanding about a ton of stuff that happens in the next 3 books, so DONT skip it. Just trust me and don’t read it first. I’ve heard people say they read it after the second book, but I wouldn’t recommend that at all. Please take my advice and read it FOURTH in line up. Last 2 hours are really good and super interesting. First 10 hours are painful, but absolutely necessary for sure.

As her marriage to Tamlin approaches, Feyre’s hollowness and nightmares consume her. #1 top book. Elite. Trumps Fourth Wing.
Revisado: 08-06-24
I should probably write this review later bc I’m still in a daze from the ending. I’m speechless. Might just stare at the wall for a few hours. Never ever had a second book been better than first until now. ACOTAR is a must bc it lays the foundation, but this book is out of this world. I’m jealous of people who haven’t read it bc I wish I could read it again for the first time. I thought no way anything could ever beat Fourth Wing. This blew it out of the water (the two books combined). It’s now my life’s mission to get everyone to read this series. My brain can’t focus bc it’s been blown. Run don’t walk to read this book.

10 out of 10!!
Revisado: 07-19-24
Absolutely LOVED this book! First time listening to this author- she’s great. This is one of the few books that I think need to be listened to rather than read. The narration is sheer perfection! Hearing the narrators tell the story made it so much better. It’s hard to explain, but trust me. Read all the others if you want, but 100% listen to this one!!

Absolutely Awful!
Revisado: 07-16-24
I had such high hopes bc I’d just finished reading The Only One Left, which was immediately in my top 5 favorite books of all time!!! Listening to this book on Audible made it 10x worse bc the narrator sounded like a 75 year-old woman. When she talked about being attracted to a hot guy it was cringy bc the only images I had of her were of a grandmother or a great grandmother. I looove a good twist and it’s hard to shock me, but this book was ridiculously unbelievable. I like fantasy (Fourth Wing, Wrong Place Wrong Time, etc) but this was NOT that. It was insultingly far fetched. A group of 7th grade girls could’ve written this, and I would have believed it. I was almost irritated that I stayed with the book so many times when I wanted to return it to then have something so infuriatingly stupid be the ‘twist.’ I don’t know if I’ve ever hated a book more. Ever.

Wow…Just…Wow!! 10 out of 10 must read
Revisado: 07-03-24
Phenomenal book!!! Absolute brilliant writing. Never read this author before, but now I’m a huge fan. Not a lot of books trick me or make me do a mental double take. This one did. Unbelievably good!! It does have some gruesome scenes that are described in detail. Trust me that it’s worth getting through those scenes for this book. I’m still in disbelief at how great it was. Wow. Just. Wow.

The absolute WORST narrator on Audible!
Revisado: 06-26-24
The narrator absolutely positively ruined the entire book. The one that read the super small part as Ada was great, but it wasn’t enough to make the book tolerable. This book was more Junie B Jones than it was remotely a suspenseful thriller. The story was SO slow and basic. It almost sounds like the narrator is reading to a 1st grade classroom. Thats what the tone and cadence felt like. The first 5+ (FIVE) hours of the book were spent on ridiculously long unnecessary character development. So many extraneous details it was obnoxious. The narrator sounded exactly like Rhea Perlman who played Carla on Cheers. That was all I could picture for Millie. I can’t begin to express how bad this book was. I thought I couldn’t be more disappointed in a sequel than The Next Mrs Parrish, but this was WAY more disappointing. I love FMF books so I couldn’t wait to listen to this on Audible. I can honestly say it’s THE #1 worst book out of the hundreds I’ve listened to. Absolutely shocking.

Amber Patterson Parrish has come a long way from being an invisible wallflower. Her hard work and immaculate planning have paid off now that she’s a prominent socialite, but that doesn’t mean there haven’t been bumps along the way. Less than a year since her husband Jackson’s tax-evasion scandal, Amber is still at the top of the Bishops Harbor community pecking order, free to do as she wishes while Jackson sits in prison. But that freedom is quickly coming to an end. With Jackson getting released from prison, Amber’s time—and money—is vanishing.

Doesn’t hold a candle to The Last Mrs P
Revisado: 06-22-24
The story was ok on its own. As a sequel to TLMP it didn’t stand a chance. So unrealistic it was mind blowing. Non plausible decisions left and right. And sooo many missed opportunities to take certain characters and storylines much much further. If I randomly listened to this book and didn’t know it was the sequel to one of top 3 books of all time I would say it’s fine. I may or may not recommend to others bc it was just ehh. But knowing it was the sequel to TLMS, I wouldn’t recommend. Super sad bc I’ve counting down the seconds for this to come out :(
