Historia
Beth and Cath are leaving their husbands. This is a story about two very different women. One is wealthy and having an affair with a man who gives her the kind of love that her cold, detached husband does not. One is living hand to mouth, suffering at the hands of a violent partner who would rather see her dead than leave him. You may think you know these women already and how their lives will unfold. Beth will live happily ever after with her little girl and her soulmate. Cath will go back to her abusive husband. And these two women will never cross paths. But you will be wrong.

Historia
Aisling is 28 and she’s a complete...Aisling. She lives at home in Ballygobbard (or Ballygobackwards, as some gas tickets call it) with her parents and commutes to her good job at PensionsPlus in Dublin. Aisling goes out every Saturday night with her best friend, Majella, who is a bit of a hames (she’s lost two phones already this year - Aisling has never lost a phone). They love hoofing into the Coors Light if they’re 'Out' or the vodka and Diet Cokes if they’re 'Out Out'.

Historia
Zachary Quinto - best known for his role as the Nimoy-approved Spock in the recent Star Trek reboot and the menacing, power-stealing serial killer, Sylar, in Heroes - brings his well-earned sci-fi credentials and simmering intensity to this audio-exclusive novella from master storyteller John Scalzi. One day, not long from now, it becomes almost impossible to murder anyone - 999 times out of a thousand, anyone who is intentionally killed comes back. How? We don't know.

Terrific short detective story with aa little scifi twist
Revisado: 09-27-20
I thought the narrator was perfect for this book, I enjoyed him as Sylar in Heroes and could visualise him easily as the character he portrays in the book. The author removed one aspect of life we can usually be sure off and it was interesting how it changed the world around it, being which it was an enjoyable short detective novel with a sci-fi twist. Well done Amazon for offering both books as part of the subscription.

Really Bad Irish Accents!
Revisado: 01-22-12
I was glad when this was over as Jacqueline Tong really got on my nerves.
Jacqueline has a very polite voice which was easy enough to listen to but mixed with her attempt at Irish accents it was dreadful. They were a mixture of Dublin, Belfast and Welsh. Sometimes all in the same sentence! At times I didn't know which character was talking and I found it very off putting. This would have been better narrated by an Irish person as it would have added more feeling to the book.
Overall it was a an enjoyable storyline but not one of my favourite Cathy Kelly books.

put me out of my misery
Revisado: 02-16-04
By book five I was hoping this series would never end, multitudes of characters and plot lines, an immense fantasy, I loved it.
By book nine all the characters had stopped communicating with their own allies and went in frustratingly opposite directions. This book brings none of them together again for the hopefully impending final battle and answers no questions.
Very hard work to read or listen to. If you follow the series, get someone to tell you about this one and hope the next is better.
Please Mr Jordan, end it soon for the few remaining loyal readers/listeners!
